i used the same box amp cells and head unit... for both subs.. the bls were nice.. handled power nicely sound great on many kinda of music.... the nighshades pound hard they carry that long low note like crazy they move air! but are in no way a SQ sub.... to me.. i enjoy the nightshade for beating it up.... but im a bass head.... all this is IMO.

the amp is over rated... but you show me any 3000 watt amp that will do DOUBLE its rating. its just not so... if your goal is 2600 watts or so per sub then you need to retool your plans.... run a single saz @ 16 volts... but i dont recomend going that route for you... and or run 1 3k at 1 ohm... its a solid amp.. it WILL push those subs fine.

i know im not drunk yet... your question was about a single 3000d at half ohm correct? and you want to run two subs... with 1 amp? at half ohm... you wish to give EACH sub AROUND 3000 watts correct?

WTF you thought you could get 6~7000 watts from a 3000 watt amp simply by running it at a half ohm??

your losing me... your telling me you want 3k to each sub.... running 1 saz 3k wont give you 6k.. and you can get 2 saz 3000d's for 2600 bucks.

Daily (it's in title lol) And why? Well the HDC3 alum. models can handle 3000wRMS. So I would like to put ~3000wRMS to each rather than 1500wRMS. why not 2 of them straped at 2 ohms.??? its over 6k. and you keep your warrenty.. and you have a better shot at match gain.

i mean... your asking what would sound best in an open area! does it really matter... your gonna gonna make any SQ in this...... a PA speaker with a sub would work.... so would some old 6x9s and a old school tandy amp.
