it matters on how many subs.. and the final ohm load you need for your amp.... if your question is what sub sounds better a 1 2 4 or 8 ohm sub there is no sound diff.

im just south of austin.. no freezing rain today... it was about an hour north of us this morning. not enough current to the amp would more likly cause the amp to run hot, but the coils burning is only a product a few things as johnecon stated.
