i was too....... but he said he wants me to do him 70's lac for him... he wants to go all out... after hearing my car he wants to do 4 night shade 15 and what else he will need to power it.. no budget build.

no he called me while at the shop.. and we picked the shit togather.... he was gonna pick up a single kicker cvr 15.. but i have used the atomics before... and i think the RF 1000 will give that sub plenty of power and leave head room..... so we will see how it goes... ill take pics of the car and the install.

yeah he called me this morning as if i had some how gotten an amp and subs over night..... as i told him before i order online...... either way... he went to a car audio store today and called me on the phone... we blew the budget to shit and it will never sound as good as if he would have just let me get a plan and order shit... but we got the rf 1000.1p i think it is... also a 4 channel RF 1 atomic quantum 15 and a "ported box" no freakin idea of what its tuned to.

i dont think the bl's are 60 lbs.... i know for a fact my nightshades are 60! but the bls are not as heavy. if i had to guess i would say 50 lbs at the most for a bl 15

well watt for watt the btl SHOULD be better... the BL is in no way a sq sub IMO.... i like the sound of a bl... but again... imo it is not a sq sub

i will be redoing the audio in the bus, here this weekend or next. i may use the same shit... but just wire it up correctly. the man that installed as you see it has no clue what ohm means or even what it is.

that came to mind aswell..... but i have not looked for a mj18 in a while cause they are hard to find... unless they are back in stock... and the second thing when someone gets an 18 in there car i find they have HUGE ideas of how its gonna sound... and if he does not live up to it.. then its a huge let down..... abxx no hes not trying to make the same sound in this car..... he just wants cheap sound that is nice for one of his many cars... he just bought this one the other day... he even told me... nothing to huge cause i dont have an alarm yet.... and with a 700 buck budget i dont expect huge attention to the car.

ok, my friend has a shit load of cars.. and has allways had a big head about his system in his lac... he spent 7800 on a indash dvd 2 jl w7 12's box inlay batterys wires 2 "2600 watt amps" he has no clue what kind. anyway... he allways thought his car was the shit..... until he heard mine.... a week later he just called me asking to set up somthing in another one of his lacs.... but! there is a budget.....700.... for box subs amps wires hes gonna buy the door speakers and high/mids amp and the h/u he wants it loud... he wants lots of bass, and to hear the words....... i damn near had to beat him up to get a budget out of him! so pushing on goals with someone who knows nothing of audio i gave up. ok.... 700 bucks its a tough budget... i wanna stay away from anything main streem.

my box is like 8 cubes before port and sub. like high 6 after.... i have a very big car.... mine is longer then most all lincoln towncars... and my seats dont go down.... mine is sub back port back @ 33hrz mine pounds, bl's or nightshades, i have never had the Q's but people love them sealed up sounds not so great... putting the front two windowns down... or with the front doors open really lets it rumble at anyrate i wanna see and hear this car!

adjusting his sla will only make his amps clip faster if the settings are crazy.... i dont think it will MAKE it clip... i agree that if its +4 and the amp is adjusted along with it... like i said in my post tho.... I WOULD..............

im free most times... im on on call 24/7 so i just cant leave the city limits evenings and weekends are fine for me... 18 gauge!! i run 10 gauge power wire for my subs... and its only 2 foot from my subs.... i have never belived in setting amp gains with a dmm... thats just me... watch and listen to the subs for stress.. they will talk to you to a point... i allways set my h/u first... then roll my gain up on my amp slow... as i make little adjustments. remeber to allways keep your bass in - on your h/u
