  1. indeed.. you DONT HAVE TO clip the amp.. you do out of want... the bl will sound fine with a non clipped 1000 watts to it. i keep seeing you say "waste money on a amp" lemme ask you this. if you buy a GREAT amp... and it last you 5 years. and you never have to buy a "bigger" one. and its able to stay with you while you grow thru subs... was it a waste then? buy right once... never buy again... a little somthing i have learned in my 25 years of life. o yeah.. .and WHEN you buy right... it gives you the option of selling that amp when you need more down the road to help with the cost or a larger amp..... IE. buy a sundown 1500... and when your ready to upgread to a saz 3000d.... you have a POOL of people that will buy it.... OR!... have a legacey that the pawn shop wont giver you 20 bucks for.... its your money.. and your option.
  2. odd wood for a box imo.
  3. i think he posted his pics and a vid.. .i think... i dont think i will make it to heat wave... as i must work ALL THE TIME.... but im only 20 mins south of austin.. in a little river town called san marcos... if you wanna come down ill show you ....
  4. well lets see some pics and some vids mang
  5. that sucks man.... i knew iad not seen him around here in a while.... i thought maybe just some project yall were doing was sucking his time up.... well you have a team mate down here by austin! i have been tossing and turning at night trying to make my mind up on the nightshades. cant wait till you get yours!
  6. damn that sucks about his work... your set up looks like its gonna be grand. you have those saz's straped? by custom im guessing those nightshades have the recone?
  7. nick is a stand up sweet heart, and one of the most honest people around. and hes a friggin workaholic. not only would i buy somthing from him, i would prolly lettem date my sister.
  8. yeah you did IMO. you should have went with BL's or BTLs but from the sounds of it your gonna blow them no matter what. you send a dirty signel to any sub long enough your gonna blow it... lemme guess... +6 bass on your head unit bass boost on the amp all the way up..... gain all the way up...... come on. i play my BLs hard when ever i ride.. and when i show off.. i dont shange anything... i just turn it up... its been almost a year no problems. people that own audio shops in my area say i have the loudest car thay have ever heard..... and the third loudest behind suv's of course. recone them... and lets talk about your settings.... if you dont like the way your setting sound with the Q's perhaps diffrent subs are in order. and i donno what amp your running. butmaybe a new amp.. and some self control. o yeah.. just a heads up... NEVER admit abuse then turn around and ask about your warrenty!. either way..... lets get you strighted up.... got any pics of vids of that show you went to. or your car and set up?
  9. some people use the sax class to drive subs, thats why it come with the remote gain like all the others, one thing to think about, i am gonna install mine for my SAX series for when i meter my subs i can just cut my remote gain on my sax so its not screaming, and i dont have to unplug anything.
  10. and what other subs have you ran

    saz 1500d sundown.
  12. i thought thats just the way those subs run... everytime i hear a pair thats what i hear.
  13. What makes the toyota engine able to rev so much higher than anything a normal truck could do? The 5.7L Tundra engine is rated for max hp @ 5,600rpm, red line at 5,900. The closest displacement chevy is the 6.0L and that is rated for max hp@5,500rpm and red line at 6,000. *These are new production model engines, I'm not going back and comparing different model years.* well i was not talk about the tundra, i was talking more about the tacomas, or even the sr5's i have a chevy 3500 wreckers with the 6.0 in it.. everytime i take it above 3800 i think its gonna explode.

  15. my uncle put headers on one of his toyotas his was a 5 speed, the power it gave was great! it turned it into a race truck it was so fun to drive after the header and the air raid intake what kinda rims and tires? are you gonna stay 16s?
  16. im looking to talk to the guys that currently run nightshades. questions for the guys with the stock sub (not been reconed yet) 1 how much power are you runing to them? 2 daily or burps 3 share with me how you like it, questions for the guys with the upgreaded recone. 1 how much power are you running. 2. how do you like the stronger spider? 3 tell me how much more you love the sub after the recone. the reason being, i want to run 2 nightshade 15's on a pair of straped saz 3000ds i have never blown a sub runing daily, and i dont wanna start now! or 1 saz at 16 volts. i was thinking to run two BTLs. but i would really like to stay sundown ONLY>
  17. my uncle is a HUGE fan of the yotas. he has had... a 91, 96 2002 and he just bought a new tundra thay are so light i was allways amazed at the things you can do just in 2wd. we have trailed in CA. Az and texas. texas mud was the biggest challenge but with the high rmp range its abel to sling the mud from the grips and keep on diggin. i would love to see a ford or dodge rev high enough to do the crazy shit a toyota will do! looks great back, whats next on the to do list.

  19. no sir, have seen it many times..not once.. not twice, i personaly never use them because i have installed them for other people. stinger PG scoshe. i have allways just used more cells,, its a cheap way to get big results. if you were in texas i would be willing to do a blind test with you on a few systems, i would take a car, let you listen to it once with a 1 farad cap, one with nothing, and once with a cell. i assure you can tell...... i can anyhow.
  20. i have seen caps bottle neck a system, many times.
  21. Thats exactly my thought. I have heard good things about the AQ amps but there has to be a reason they are cheaper, they just aren't built to the tank like standards that the SAZ line is. To go with your post, I did some digging around and asked a few people. What they found was this: AQ 2200D: HiFonics BXi2607D: Now, these pictures are not close up enough to get exact part numbers of the internal components of these two amplifiers, but take a look at the two pictures and tell me what you see. LOL THAT IS SOOOO FUNNY!
