  1. someone wanna explain why my questions is negative ?
  2. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/14797-your-favorite-show-off-songs/
  3. i would ask you why? why not just run the amp at 1 ohm?
  4. not at all .. just daily
  5. Why not just run it at two ohms for ~600 watts? It'll be safer, and no quieter than 900 rms. i need 900 after rise, not before..so 600 then minus rise illbe at 400- 450
  6. i gotcha. well i wont have it turned up very high i would need about 900 watts out of it.. i hate to run it ah .5 but damn im in a spot.. SSA is out of stock too.. so its looking like i may have to run it at .5 it has plenty of air flow and it has two batteries and ill be running 0 gauge to it,. and the amp has a fan .. all factors i think i will.
  7. well sundown emailed me back and stated they only have 1 d4 but they have a pair of d2s .... how did the memphis perform at .5 daily ?
  8. well for the SD 10s that box is a tad too large.. the Sd 10s call for .5 sealed each.. and this box is .75 each.. so.. you could run less power. or fill some volume with expanding foam .... i would shop around for a better used amp.
  9. great sub... and dont worry about "under powering " it.. thats a myth and i can tell you from personal experience not on 1 but 2 icons in two different builds they are amazing with very little power... i have 1 in my g/fs car on a JL 500/1 seeing maybe 400 watts in a ported box.. and WOW. and another is a build i did on a 700 watt old school autotek and its blows everyone away!
  10. ill suggest this to you , http://www.supercrewsound.com/88ChevyECdual.html this company is based in VA, and all the boxes are hand made in FL, they are clean and based in the USA. take all the guess work out,, and your not looking for any outrageous results so two simple 10's should be plenty, now you just need to start shopping for subs based on depth and goals. im doing a a build currently with these boxs, i went with the sundown SD-2 10s
  11. oh and that should fix it no doubt, did you check the coil to see if it was rubbing the motor? some times they coil will rock when the spider come off like that
  12. lol true story!! they are old if your young but they were great subs when they came out... i always enjoyed them, just a few months ago a 12 was floating around for sale here localy and i had to keep telling my self " you dont need it jon you have 6 15s in your living room collecting dust and complaints from dani you dont need it!!!!:"
  13. yes indeed its ment too.. i got it in a trade a few years ago put it under the spare bed and kept it there!!! i was going to put it on danis Icon 15 one day but never got to it.. as it would changer her class standing.. and she dont need that much power!!!! but yest a beast amp..! i ordered everything but the subs today.. debbie has not been emailing me back for some reason :\
  14. at first is was all for moving the rear seat forward and doing some nice custom door pods but it quickly became " lets just do what will fit with out any custom work" and i say ok.. then he started talking about kicker shallows..and i said WHOAAAA WHOAAA.. if you want me to be apart of this your gonna have to change your tude buddy! so he wrote me a check and im buying what ever i want... and what i have come up with is the best with what will fit in behind the seat and in budget
  15. my buddy rob just came into some money, i have done many stereos for him over the years. so when he got a new truck he gave me free range and a budget, its a new truck so he didnt want to hack it up.. i understand that so.... head unit will be http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/DVD-Receivers/AVH-P4400BH box will be for 2 sundown SD-10s and the amp will be a older Memphis PR 1000.1 a nice underrated amp. will be wired with 0 gauge that i have here at home, and we will be adding some speakers to the doors soon pictures soon
  16. well i just sold my gopro 3 ... it was bitter sweet, but its not the best for audio and it was poor in low light, and people act hard during a demo when there is a cam in your face.. so.. im going to use the money for my MIa volt mod and my double idler pulley
  17. lol its a joke dude, they are shit subs,.. in the late 80s early 90s every one was pumping out these shitty subs im sure from the same build house. thumps were hot too.... i think funky pup stuck as the joke because its so fucking funny, and the logo was priceless ! not to mention had nothing to do with audio lol
  18. yeah those plastic intakes have troubles. i have yet to have an issue with one * knock on wood* but it does not seem that hard to swap out, that lincoln should get good gas millage and provide you a roomy comfortable ride! good luck post pics if you get it!!!
  19. damn 3 sheets for single 10 box!!!! thats way too much.. oh your asking someone to blueprint a box for you quickly ohh... well many people here can help you.. you may want to start a toping with a heading asking for blue prints. JBLcamry is the shit... but im not sure how fast he can do it
  20. where at SMD? save your money.... it seems to me if you have swapped the amp out, and the same issue is present then you may have a bad amp.. see what the seller does to help you
  21. funky pups will fuck your face off... i seen it!!!!!
  22. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/index.php/product-information/gcon.html are you going to try to put it behind the seat or on top of the seat?
  23. two different subs for sure,
