well i know im over powering them a little, but hell there BL's thay should be able to take a little power somtimes, i drive my car maybe 2 hours a week. and so i maybe play hard maybe an hour total a week.. and not an hour stright... like 5 min songs.... i go out drive down the street listen to one song... and then go back home.

whhhat,.. so dustcaps should not be warm!...... i have never blown a sub in ten years of playing with car audio. im playin my bls hard.... and there warm. should i be alarmed

so allways hear people talk about how there dust cap is warm is it normal blah blah... and then say some or one is warmer then tha other......... but i never see people ask how hot is too hot!>? i know it will be warm just knowing how a sub works i know it will be warm... mine arnt too hot.. i dont think they are!

T40001bd only plays as low as 2 ohms is that right

the way I see it... a watt equals a watt. As long as the amp can power a speaker doesn't matter what speaker it is - tweeter, mid, etc i dont seee it that way at all

well fi's are not 1 ohm.. there 0.70 ohms... a hifonics goliath wont go under 1ohm. so you will need to look into TWO hifonics amps.

Hes got 2 LMS ultras on 4 SAZ-3000Ds at 1/2 ohm each and yeah he has problems keeping the fron windshield from cracking yeah yeah but the question is about the back glass.

im sorry you can run 5k off of 5 of the cap killers plus whats up front? or you can run 5k off 3 cap killers and plus whats up front? you said you were gonna run icons?

so im guessing that your intrested in running the saz 3000d? i dont think you need 5-6 HC600s..... i think you could get away with running 2 or 3 of the HC600s and one red top or yellow under the hood. but maybe im wrong... who knows

if you have a saz 3000d you must have more batteries, it is a must. i think jacob recomends at least 1 power master 3100 i think its just for the amp... then one for the crank battery for your car. or truck ... the batts from what i understand is just like a water tower....well kinda like a water tower... it provides a pool of power close, so when the amp calls for it.. its there in a hurry... water towers also create water pressure aswell... has nothing to do with amps... i run three yellow tops and a h/o alt. i got enough power

Yeah I'm pretty set on the BL right about now. BigJon are all those necessary like the extra battery, etc....? by the way i have a oem stock stereo, upgrading to a deck would be best right? SQ wise well sq wise, for subs you have more control with a after market H/u, and you will have a little better sound yes. i allways say get a better h/u as far as the upgreads yeah most of them are... see if you can find out what size alt you have OEM. and then you can go from there.. heres the thing. if you underpower an amp, you have have problems... somthing like clipping, you will run a underpowered amp HOT... and hot is bad.... and in some cases if an amp dips below 11 volts it can fry or even burst into flames. but the biggest reason for the upgreads is to protect your investment... you start clipping that amp and its gonna clip that sub,... and then your gonna buy a recone for your bl. and maybe a new amp... save some money.. do the big three no doubt, do a run of 0 gauge to the rear... depending on the size of your alt. you may be able to get away with just getting a badass batt under your hood. i allways worry about not having enough power. just cause i like knowing that i have a strong back bone to my audio.... my bass that is haha some people will corect some of the statments that i just made, and thats the great thing about a fourm, you can allways learn more form others.

the brama and the XXX are diffrent class subs..... thats like askin someone is a lincoln a caddy and a CRX..... thay all be good cars for what thay are,,, but.. not in the same class. just want i think. edit.. the BTL or the BL are closer in the apple and lemon race.

i just responded to your IM lost. just as i said you must give info on what you want in a sub also what your goals are in an audio system. one of the biggest things that stands on in the Q and the BL are that you can run a Q in a sealed encloser. the BL you should not. your also able to to bettel control your sub with tha potions. also with the BL you can choose to have your configuration change like if you only buy one sub now. your get a dual 2..... then later you decide you want a second sub.. you can have your first sub reconed with a dual 1 VC. to change your OHM load with the universal option on the BL o yeah.. i throw gobs of power at my BL's...... im not sure if i would send the same power to a Q... not that it could not handle it.. .but in my eyes... the Q is like a shy pretty lady you kiss after dinner..... the BL is a chick that you buy a few drinks and take her to your place and pound her. and well the BTL is like a batchalor party stripper... let your friends beat it up too........ im so stoned. . edit.. my BLs arent SQ.... and... i like it that way. so if your looking for somthing to play classical music on.. or maybe even some rast responsive rock i would tell you that the BL is not for you... but if you wanna piss people off and have a hard time breathing in your car get a few bls and some POWER>

the sundown saz 3000d is a great amp for those subs, i have 2 bl 15's runnning on one, and my lord, my subs are takin it like a champ and the sundown at less then half gain @ 1 ohm is more like a day at the spa then hard work for this amp
