i ahve heard good things about the Jl clean sweep, but thay are pricey, also i have used one i think its calle ferighight, ummmm its green.. a 4 channel is like 75 bucks or so,

the 93 and 2001 didnt change that much and your right there is a plate the bottom 9 inches or so is the fuel tank! and the upper 5 inches is just a plate that just can be cut it leads to the trunk. i have a 95 lincoln and i allways kept the factory sub in.... and then one day i took it out and there was a diffrance... as far as runnning with no back seat.... there is gonna be a huge diffreance, and i dont wanna get my hopes up like that!, if 8 out of 10 people say try it i will. wait.... 10 of the RIGHT people,.....

great i was about to start a thread. but here we go!, i have a 2001 lincoln towncar L, with 2 bls, my back deck is a monster, i mean its alive, but im not takin out my rear speakers, damn that! i already have the factory 8 inch sub droped and that leaves a 8 inch hole in my back deck, but my rear seat has a big bad ass arm rest that can become a PORT FAST! so should i do it?> i have read mixed feelings about it POLL IT! it does but its to lower the input, not raise it, and there is no fakin the funk when it comes to having a good H/U you can have the best speakers and amps around but if your powering it with a walkmen then you can only expect so much, and i hear ya about the navagation and yadda yadda, but the pioneer NC3 i think it is, is a nice h/u with navgation, and its a year old or so you can get a deal on ebay, my 2 cent

lol, ok this is gonna be long!!!!! ibought this amp from a man that is in the DB drags, fresh from CIA, with a new used driver board and 16 new mosfits, remaned, with a birthsheet and ray the man i bought from even tested it and showed me numbers that his UL 12 posted, hes shipped it to me, and UPS raped this amp, but i hooked it up to test at 4 ohms it played fine, and i ran it that way for a week or so, hard and long, it was fine.. i bought 2 fully loaded FI BL's hooked it up it played, then i pulled one sub from the box, in my rush to reload the sub i didnt make good connection inside the box, i didnt check the ohm load before i wired it up and played, i ran the goliath at .50 ohms and it shut off, CLICK CLICK protect, everytime, i called ray and CIA thay said send it up maybe it was that used driver board, but no. after 4 months thay fixed it.. and while burning in the amp, testing it at high power for hours, my amp didnt make it 10 mins, thay were stumped. while the people at CIA are very nice, and im sure great engineers from what thay tell me maxxonics orders 10000 parts and driver bored so on, when thay are building 10000 amps..... thay dont order extra parts for repairs, so when CIA needs parts. maxxonics calls there supplier and there supplier says yeah well were makin other parts right now, we will make them when we get to it, thus my amp sitts on a shelf with 2000 other goliaths, maxximus and others, BUT, thats a certified repair...... there are many many companys out there that will used hybrid parts and paper clips inside your amp and charge you 350 for a fire hazerd, 2 ways the right way and the NOW way

yellow tops arent the BEST but thay are a great batt, i have three, and there all used, i will soon have 6 over kill maybe, but at 50 bucks each, i gotta be that guy!

i have a pair of fully loaded BL's minus the extream lead, and with a goliath and a tuned box there tha best subs i have had, and i have ran alot of subs, im currently awaiting a sundown 3000 but from what i have read, with a stout charging system, that amp should be ALMOST a perfect match, one problem i had was the fi dual 1's are not 1 there .70 per coil, so when wired to be 1 ohm at the amp the ohm load is only .70 not 1 ohm, so that why the sundown is best for me, because the sundown although not warrenteed is that how you spell it? anyway from what i understand the sundown will run down to .35 ohms, and still play, im guessing for brups but im a daily bass head, so what ever

i left the OEM and just added a 2 gauge, in my case i had to add, when i tryed to replace it with a 0 gauge it flipped tripples, i donno why i just added, i also used copper on all my 2 gauge and smaller, but i have 2 ott gauge back to my yellow tops in the rear and i used led ends,

ahh well i never shopped a frys before i went there once, cia engineering is the repair shop for the maxxonics as a whole i was intrested in knowing if you spoke with them or someone else, the reasons being, is thay are so slow.. idont think its cia as much as its maxxonixs and there parts provider... either way my goliath has been in there hands for 7 months now... im so sad i just wanna get it back so i can sell it

wait so you didnt put your sub LOC on the wires going to the sub?... yeah do that, thats the oly way to roll, just gotta figure out witch is ur signel out 0f the 5

yeah i did check it out, i seen alot of happy people, have you used it before? i see that he states that the heat will not make it come off... but my car is black and chrome, and i live in the big state of texas, where the summers are 115 outside and car temp of 160 -175 and winters of 30 or so...

did you call CIA engineering??? i never had a problem with my goliath and the RCA's i had alot of other problems!

what kinda car is it? i know some sysyems are broken down like say SAAB, it has i like 12 or 8 speakers and there all crossed over from the H/u, so if you LOC say the MID speaker then you will get a mid sound from your subs, also check the polarity, into the LOC and from your amp to subs, an easy way to check is to un hook one sub, and if it plays hard then ur + and - are crossed, thats what i would think,

well you have to have a MECP master installer or you can kiss insurance good bye, atlest in TEXAS you have to have one

You need to really nail down your front stage first before recommending rear fill, I am sure as soon as you do you will no longer feel it necessary at all to have anything back there. that was someone else..... although thay think simaler to me haha, i took your advise, im shopping for 61/2's for the front, and in the mean time im gonna hush matt the doors and then go from there, you remind me of a friend of mine,, all facts and little laughs, chill out
