  1. im knockin on wood like crazy here guys i have had many cars, all fixed up, one with dope boy tint (no tint at all so thay can see whos drivin) anyhow, headrest in plain view NC 3 in the dash visor screens just temping people, i was lucky, but when i bought my new one, tint and a bad ass excaliber remote start with left right and front back tilt sensors so you cant jack my rims, a paremiter sencore, so whenyou ever walk by my car it chirps, along with the shock, and remote paging, so when my alarm goes off my keys go dog nuts, and lets me know them jackers are learkin, my house is covered in camaras right, so one night im up late late just smokin, and watching the camaras, and what do i see! some jacker trying to see what i have for him in my ride, so he creaps up i mean as soon ass he cuped his hands on that back window my alarm went off and i ran outside, and they were burning off in a 4 door crapola, check crigslist.org for your stuff too, o yeah and katrina messed texas towns up ~BIG TIME CRIME WAVE and if anyone here is a thief, hey get a job do the right thing and nice things will come your way,
  2. say man did you say that the tow truck company opend your truck and unhooked your batt to tow your truck??? well if it was a non consent tow aka 'tow away' thats agaist the law. i run a wrecker company here in texas. thay broke into your truck,... there is NO NEED to get into a truck to tow it, none at all... thats what dolly's and slide trucks are for. if one of my drivers did a lock out on a car to tow it away i would not oly refund the tow fee but fire the drive.
  3. yeah well i guess ill throw in my two cents, im wondering the same thing, why would you ever ask people what thay think. and then try and make them feel odd for thinking that way. if you want help or a second mind on things read it and then go from there. but dont slap the people that are taking time from there day to try and help some ingreat, but my thought onthe alpine things is , al low power, the type R in a large vented and turned encloser sound OK for a " entry level" sub... I KNOW THE TYPE R IS THE HIGHER LEVEL.. but its still entry to the large game of audio, so follow the flocks, and get somthing everyone knows like alpine. but dont expect to win shows, or be "that guy" in your town. your still in the box son. o yeah fi audio bl and btl rock out with there cock out.... can i say cock on here?
  4. rather how would I know if the subs are clipping
  5. so say i have 2 15 fi bl's fully loaded no extream lead, 200 amp alt, 3 yellow tops all 0 gauge, my box is 6 ft vented tuned at 33 hrz, 1 ohm on a sundown 3000, for music, where would YOU say i should set my gain, with my H/u up 3/4's of the way to peak?? and how would u know the subs are clipping?
  6. i would stay away from any amp made by maxxonics, and if im right that is one of the many companys that maxxonics makes, hifonics, earthquke, crunch, mb quart, autotek, theres a few more......... now dont go getting all pissy on me, THAY WERE ALL GOOD AMPS BACK IN THE DAY< but now days thair just too unstable TO ME!
  7. jonbearsmt replied to Juice+'s topic in Fi Products
i have 2 fully loaded BL's in a 6.5 ft vented tuned at 33 hrz.. I THINK that the air space rating is 2 ft -8 ft persub. so MY thoughts are 6 ft is ok, but ask SCOTT from FI hes the man
  8. im not sure how how i mesure after the box rise. when the subs are in the box thay are .70 ohms at the amp, i have a 200 amp alt, and 3 yellow top batts
  9. thankful for ssa and car audio
  10. im pretty sure there dual .70's and when you wire them up that way it comes out to .70 just under a 1.... i have the same subs and i had the same problem
  11. what ever you do dont use hifonics!!!!!!!!!!!! i have 2 fully loaded fi audio bl's sweet sub, but i first powered them with a hifonics goliath 5000watt... i just bought it, put it in the shop for a new driver board, and 16 mosfits, got it back droped it in at 1 ohm and poped it its sitting at the shop now.. waiting.. again, for ANOTHER driver board and some more mosfits, there is one maxxonics ( the mother company that makes hifonics) repair shop in the US, and its CIA.... great people but maxxonics is so slow in there thinking, thay order say 2000 driver board when there going to build 2000 amps... but what about the repair parts when these amps have problems, thay have to make them! that takes a very long time, hifonics no! NO! save your self the time and money.

  13. thanks for the reply, well i already have the bl's and i thought i had a amp that would be up to the task, but i was wrong, have you ran your 1500 below 1 ohm? or ever needed to have work done on your sundown?
  14. i am looking else where im looking at sundown aswell.... i just seen quantum is cheap and i was looking for a tempory amp. thats all i just posted a thred in sundown aswell rthanks
  15. ok here it is i have a goliath that im sick of! allways at the shop. i have 2 15 FI audio fully loaded bl's with the daily option the box is 6 cubic ft vented at 33hrz 0.70 ohms at the amp a 200 amp alt, 3 yellow tops and 0 gauge althe way around the way i see it is i can get a 1500 watt.. and it should push these subs well,,, and if not.. ill buy a second 1500, and strap them to get more power, or i can get a 3000 watt.. and be in the same boat as i am now, relying on the one amp, and then if it breaks i got nothing until the repair is done but will the 1500 indeed push these subs alone, just one? or will i have to get get straped? what do yall think thanks!
  16. im looking for someone that has ever used a Quantum Audio 4000watt amp or any of the amps at all... im just wondering if that put out anywhere near the rating? thanks
  17. this is just my opion i think it will sound better, i think you were under powering that 18. i think you will be in the sweet spot with the smaller sub i think tha rms on a bl 15 is like 1100 so but hey what the hell do i know! good luck
  18. well yeah i have enough power but this hifonics like i said seems to be very unstable.. and thats the case. i dont wanna keep sending this amp off once twice a year.. i dont have time for that.... and it has SO FAR been three months... its still not fixed... asfar as cost goes..... i can sell this goliath and cover my JL cost, i have had jl amps before.. and thay are WELL worth the money,....... and sundown... well sundown just my be my next ave,
  19. ok i curently own a hifonics 5000 watt... i have owned it 4 months... 1 month it sat in my spare bedroom. and for 3 months it has been at CIA engineering.. waiting to get fixed.. i got to play it for about 30 seconds before it popped...... so far i see this hifonics as being a very very unstable amp... im a daily driver bass head, should i keep the hifonics... or sell it and get TWO jl 1000/1's one for each sub i have 2 fully loaded fi bl's 3 yellow tops. all 0 gauge wire, 200 amp alt. nc2 deck and any advice would be helpfull thank you!
  20. ok so what would make my amp just stop working like that? i was running the same amp at 4 ohms... for a week or so on some old kickers, while my subs were being made, any how, like i said i dropped my subs and amp in and while i was adjusting the gain each time i came close to half it shut off.. i did it twice... and then NO MORE!.... i have a 200 amp alt. 3 yelllow tops, all 0 gauge...... and im pretty sure im well grounded,,,,, i dont even know where or how to ground 4 0 gauge grounds.... i just have two 0 gauge thick sheet metal ground... with the paint off of course.... thanks for all the help. i just dont want to get my amp back in from CIA and wire it up and blow itagain, then be left to wait for ANOTHER repair.... i had one thought of selling this hifonics goliath and picking two jl 1000/1's... one for each bl... any thoughts?
  21. ok here it goes... and you know i have 2 15 fully loaded bl's dual 1's.... i have the + from one coil to the - on the other coil... on both subs... then + from one sub to the + on the other sub... then the same for the -... from there to the amp...... i should be at 1 ohms correct? or did i mess up should i have gotten dual 2's heres why i ask... im sitting some where around .8 ohms.... not 1. not 1.3.. but .8 thats with the resestance of my ohm, meter the resestance of my meter alone is .1...... so by my messed up math that should put me at 1.1... but hey maybe im wrong...... the reason i am so scared... ok here goes i shopped for months for subs and an amp........ i finaly went with the fully loaded bl's bought a hifonics goliath 5000watt... i put the amp and subs in.. while tuning.. i messed up my amp... every time i turned it near half gain my amp shut off... i sent it to CIA in PA... and thay have been jerkin me off.... i just wanna besure that im not gonna keep poping my amp..... i have spent some where around 3 grand for everything in my car and have yet to hear it.. it has been 9 months! thanks so much for anyones help!
