Has anyone used something like this? its a usb controlled 4 relay board. Working on a carpc and thought this might be easier to use than running switches to turn things on and off. It would be nice to be able to just turn off either highs ( for burping at comps) or turn off subs (when not needed or late at night). The only thing I'm worried about right now is I've seen a few videos of some of these and they seem to cycle when the boards powered up worried there might be an unneeded thump caused. And not only using it for amps but to control leds etc

I am working on the carpc thing atm. I'm swinging to a windows based one myself seeing as I have quite a bit of music from my zune pass, so I should be able to have all that on a hard d drive and have it available in the car. With a car pc there is no need for a processor if you don't need it. Thanks to adrian he pointed me to some programs. Virtual Audio Cable and Audiomulch. VAC basically lets you decide where the audio goes and audiomulch will allow you to be active, dunno off the top of my head the size of the equalizer. If you shop around you can build a carpc cheaper than that unit and even have it in a double din case.

Can also look at b2 hn's or b2 as. Could do sundown sa-12s and run at higher imp for daily and burp at lower imp. There are many options out there

Id look into xcons. You will be underpowering which is perfectly fine but will give you a chance if you upgrade amps later on. And they sound great.

The problem with walling the cargo area is the weird angle the seat has. Dances are you'll always have the seats down. Plus you would have to put everything under the wall and it would be hard to get to.

So basically you want to wall it? Otherwise your dimensions are closer to 38x25x16. Which is roughly what I had 2 15 xcons sealed and it was around 6cf. I had a buddy make a custom fit box taking up all the cargo area and it was 8cf@34hz. Imho I would prolly do 2 12's ported that way you get something in an optimal box instead if just trying to get something to fit.

Ok you minidsp people. If I had a carputer running centrafuse front end/ windows os, would there be any reason I wouldn't be able to control the minidsp using the carputer? After having the 80prs I really like the ability to change things on a whim. Also I'm looking at needing 8 channels correct? Plan on doing a 3 way front end (tweet/midrange on one amp) (midbass on its own amp) then sub amps. Was looking at the 2x8 with digi add on so that I could do optic out from the motherboard. Figured that would be better than doing 3.5mm to rca adapter.
