  1. Think ill wait on the adapter. I may have to take this to a shop to get it in. Big hands ftl in tiny asian cars.
  2. I'm hoping so phi. This things too pretty to be sitting in a box.
  3. Well I seemed to have run into a problem. Seems the plugs differ from camry's to xb's even though they are the same engine. I have emailed kyle so we'll see what he says. Here is a pic of what I'm talking about.
  4. It was supposed to arrive tuesday......fedex showed up today. LETS GET THIS BAD BOY IN.
  5. Just an update shogen. Kyle called me and this was shipped out today and they even upgraded to a higher voltage regulator for the problems. DC FTW.
  6. Was on the phone with Kyle this morning. Turns out the cases they got sent were cracked. He informed me that he was making calls out today about them.
  7. Oh shogen sorry I didn't see this post. No I haven't recieved it. I've had to give them an address two different times and another they told me they were sent the wrong parts. So I dunno whats going on.
  8. Their CS is top notch....now if I could just get my alternator to show up.
  9. When I swapped in 2/0 gauge welding cable for the 4 gauge I had been running I noticed a considerable difference in sound. Go as big as you can imo.
  10. Nowadays I've been using a portable 80gig hard drive or my zune in an aux cable. On a pioneer deck.
  11. Lol yeah it is. Really like this stuff for garlic bread. Dont think they sell it in stores. Also our high school sports teams are known as the "Tillamook Cheesemakers". Was definitly unique.
  12. Yeah thats what I was thinking Duran. Thanks. Yeah upgrades will be waiting till at least after tax time so just trying to figure things out before then.
  13. Just thinking about the future here and expanding my system. I was looking at the audiopipe 1500's and the 3k's. From what I've read the 3k's are just 2 1500's in one case. So my question is: Would it be better to just get the 1 3k or the 2 1500's. Is it more efficient to run the one bigger amp or is it just a wash since its really the 2 smaller amps in one. Or does it really matter? And in case its needed. These will be pushing 2 Fi Q 15's.
  14. I will be doing this same exact thing just so I don't have to buy another fuse holder.
  15. Thanks for that info Julian. I think I'm gonna go ahead with just throwing a switch in (think I have one sitting around here somewhere).
  16. So I got one of these off ebay and unlike the stinger one it only has 2 wires. And if I was to hook it up straight to power it would be on all the time. Was thinking of either running it off the ignition wire that triggers the head unit to turn on or running it off a switch so I could turn it off. Or do you guys think another way would be better.
  17. When replacing mosfets, you should replace all within that section. Meaning, if you are replacing some powersupply mosfets, replace ALL of the powersupply mosfets. If you are replacing mosfets in the output section, replace ALL of the mosfets in the output section. Make sure you buy them all at the same time and try to specify that they be from the same batch. Mosfets from different batches, even if they have the same part number, can have different internal resistance which will cause the ones with the lowest resistance to have more current which creates the possibility of those mosfets blowing. Thanks for that info. So.....could possibly be more of a headache than needed?
  18. Hey kyle I won't really have access to my phone for the next couple days with work and all. If at possible could you pm the price difference. Tbh though I'm sure this alternator will be overkill for me but will help with future upgrades. I ordered it late on thursday dunno when it would be shipped out. So don't know the timetable to get things changed if needed. Great customer service btw.
  19. I have a power acoustik vu560-4x. Back in high school was being dumb when hooking it up and crossed a wire or two and basically it went up in smoke. Basically determined the problem to be 3 of these mosfets. Just wondering how hard it would be to replace these. Would it be just some simple soldering? I figure the 5 bucks it would cost would be worth the try for a highs amp.
  20. Got a 320amp for my scion xb....can't wait for it to get here!!
  21. Ok so Fi recommends 2-2.6 cf for a sealed 15 Q. The Khaotik sealed 15 box comes in at 2.769 cf. So will I be ok to run a slightly bigger box or will I run into any problems. Cus that really doesn't seem like that much of a difference to me but just wanted to check. Thanks.
  22. No not the big three. I will be switching the terminals out from stock to knu konceptz ones. So I will have to take out the stock terminals and extend the wires. So any tips on getting the best soldering job done or would butt connectors be a better route.
  23. Well I mean where I will be extending the main power line for the car. Attaching a length of 4g to the stock wiring.
  24. Ok I got some new Knu Konceptz battery terminals with 4g outputs and I'm assuming I will need to cut the stock terminal out. So soldering the wires will be the best option right? Now I know with smaller wires you usually just twist them together and then solder but thats not really feasible with 4g, or is it? If anyone has tips on doing this it would be greatly appreciated. This is the terminal I will be using.
