  1. didnt know where to put this but... looking for an alarm system and i landed on the viper 7900 and viper 5901. which would you suggest and why?? thanks
  2. panasonics are usually fairly cheap and are good. i love the 5v preouts that oanasonics usually have.
  3. d1 and aq2200d works also. thats what ill be doing
  4. yes! im part of the unanimous decision! lol
  5. good budget amps tad overrated
  6. look on sonicelectronix for some headunits. valor isnt a really good brand
  7. amp it!
  8. there are 6x8 to 6.5" adapters. and yes, if youre getting comps in kicks no point in using the speakers in the door as well IMO knukonceptz for wiring. or sonicelectronix has some good deals also
  9. if you're getting kick panels, just take the speaker out of the door... only update the alt if youre still dimming after the big 3 and upgraded battery.
  10. still wouldnt amp it, but whatever floats your boat. will you be amping your rear fill also? you'll need 2 RCA's, 0 gauge give or take 25-30 feet, 30ish ft of 16 gauge of speaker wire for speakers, 3 ft of 10 or 12 gauge speaker wire for sub and a distro block would really help. some ring terminals. i'd suggest a new battery under the hood, something from kinetik/powermaster/odyssey/deka. i'd get another 10 ft of 0 gauge to do the big 3.
  11. more like the headunit is the most important part of it. no point in amping the factory speakers. might as well upgrade that too. would you like a single or double din? size subs? how many?
  12. i was planning on getting a ed nine.1 but everyone advised me to stay away from them due to poor customer service. so i'd rather go with the aq1200d for the Q or BL, and the aq is cheaper
  13. from what i heard, no personal experience with these, the picasso is a little overrated but isnt noticeable and still gets the job done nonetheless. the trx on the other hand does rated. and the rest above that, is underrated.
  14. thanks. on what car and how big was your stock alt??? i was thinking about getting a powermaster for under the hood
  15. or look around the forum. pound the sound enclosures are pretty cheap.
  16. any way to know visually? or is that the only way
  17. how do you know if the voice coil on a sub is burnt?
  18. cool...didnt know you were local. well...semi-local haha. bout an hour drive for where im at sent you a pm.
  19. nice car. nice install 985 area code??? where are you located??
  20. i'm already gonna run 0 gauge back there and do the big 3, all basic stuff in all my cars so far. i just never had an amp that pushed more than 1000 watts so i was curious.
  21. the only reason im not using the full 2200 is cause i need money for a new battery haha. i guess i'll find out when i hook it all up eh. the battery and alt is gonna be whatever a new mazda 3 comes with.
  22. this might sound noobish but i wasnt sure. im getting an aq2200d, but im not going to be running it at 1 ohm, im going to be running it at 2 ohms for the time being. the question is, do i need to up the battery and treat like im running it at 1 ohm (2200 W)? i think i should be fine off my stock battery since im only pusing ~1300 watts correct?
  23. thanks. was sure it wasaround here somewhere, just couldnt find it
  24. what is this for?? whats the diff between universal and non universal
