Best 10s for me?
Alright, il get some measurements done sometime this weekend. Thanks for the help tho. Would it be better to design and build two boxes to put my tens into, or one big box for a 12? Because of trunk opening being smaller than trunk space, wouldnt it be better to design 2 good 10 boxes? to get the most out of my trunk space?

Best 10s for me?
I got you, I understand. I'm good myself at designing boxes myself but Iv been stuck on two 10s and you see where that got me. Il try to measure max deminsions when I can. My trunk space isn't as much of a problem, its the opening to the trunk... Il see what I can measure

If you guys can design a 12 ported box that works I guess I can try, but it would have to outperform my two 10s. If you think it can work then Il give it a shot

Alrighty then. I can't take a picture right now but these are my amp settings. My lpf is around 150 Hz. My bass boost is at 0. My gain is right at the halfway mark.

I was also thinking about inverting the subs, would that help at all?

Best 10s for me?
Lol, I'm not that attached. Its my third set of boxes, and I had a family friend do it and I don't want to ask him again after he worked so hard on these. I will make a pic of the amp settings when I get home today. I got my answer tho for my question so there's no need. Unless you know a design already I can use for a mustang convertible... I'm so sick of messing with boxes... I cant wait to get a different car

Best 10s for me?
Iv been through to many boxes, il just stick to these. iv already measured for a the biggest possible box I can fit in there, thats where I ended up with the 2 boxes I have now. There are what I want them to be, I KNOW THE PORT IS SHIT, and could be much improved with other boxes but im done with that. I was just asking about the drivers, I got my answer, i really dont want to try and do more boxes, it wont be much longer until I get a new car anyway, Im trying to get the best out of this one.

I was asking if it would be a waste of money, I got my answer, and thank you for that, but I am saying, with the deminsions of my trunk, a possible decent ported box for any size sub WILL NOT FIT. Im just tired of telling people I cant fit a box in there. It would have to be easily removable.

omg, for the last time, I cant put a bigger box in my trunk!!!!! My trunk opening doesnt allow much AT ALL! the only way would be to build it INSIDE the trunk, and im not going there because I need it to be removable.

It was going to be either a single 2, or 3 inch port, so I decided on the two, 2 inch ports. Believe it or not, its a big step up from a sealed box the same size.

Best 10s for me?
2, 2inch ports. I know there small, but its allot better than the previous setup. (Sealed) So it would be a waste of money if I replaced these with any of the subwoofers I suggested? (or any other in budget subwoofer) I guessi l just wait until I get an SUV so I have room for more than this

best bass frequency for sa 10s
well, what are your boxes tuned to? Are they prefab boxes? 50hz is way higher than I would tune any subwoofer. Mine are tuned to 32hz

Best 10s for me?
These are my 2 boxes, that each on their own JUST managed to slide into the trunk opening. They slide back and fit well, leaving a small space on one side where my amp now is, and I can place small things, which I need from time to time. NOW THE BOXES ARE TOGETHER AND THE AMP IS ON ONE SIDE.

Best 10s for me?
Yeah... my seats dont fold down, my trunk is crazy small, im a little guy and I cant even fit in there! (no kidnapping for me) I had these boxes built and they are much improved over the old sealed ones, im happy with the boxes. The only way I can fit that much airspace into the trunk is to create 2 seperate boxes, as my trunk opening is also VERY small. PLEASE dont recomend new boxes. These were custom made to fit the shape of my trunk to take up as much space as I could. When I get home later today I will post a picture of my setup (it looks really cheap but its very effective for small space)

Okay, that's what I was looking for. Thanks

Best 10s for me?
Ok, I get what your saying. Thanks. Of I had more room in my trunk I would love to improve it, but right now the drivers are all I can change. Its come a long way since my first setup in that car. Is there a driver that will get louder than the CVR in my case?

Okay, so I'm stuck with them then. Ok. Im not changing my setup anymore, thanks for the help tho

Best 10s for me?
The gains are set for normal listening levels. I was hopingng I could get a sub that could get louder than mine now. There signal isn't even clipping, they just bottom out

Best 10s for me?
So even if I get a sub that can take more power I still won't be able to turn it up past what I can now? I have to much power for subs right now.
-
Best 10s for me?
I can't, you have no idea about my trunk, trust me, this is the best I can do with the boxes. I'm not doing that again anyway, I'm just looking subs that can take more of a pounding than CVRs
-
Best 10s for me?
Cant make the install any better.its been moved around to the best point, seats don't fold, and gains are set for good listning music. I'm not looking for more power from an amp, I'm keeping that, its just overpowering my subs and I can't turn it up half way without the subs bottoming out. I'm looking for subs that can handle the power I already have

Best 10s for me?
im looking to spend no more than $130 per sub unless its completely worth it. Kicker CompR (Rated 600 RMS) Sundown E (Rated 400 RMS) Pioneer TS-W2502D4 (Rated 800 RMS) Alpine SWS (Rated 500 RMS) Those are my top options as of right now. If its not worth the upgrade from CVRs then I will accpet my fate, but if I can get some more output than what I have, that would be great! I am mostly looking for a sub that can take more power, because mine dont take as much as i would like. there rated for 400rms, recomendeds I give them 300 in a decent ported enclosure, and mine is a bit on the smaller side for them.

Best 10s for me?
Well right now, im not a fan of kicker anymore. I can push the subs to their max with the amp, but people at my school are much louder with crappy brands and setups. My friend has a single 10 on less than half the power and its louder than mine... its insaine. I want MORE output, With my gains set now correctly, I get up to half volume on my headunit (25 of 50) and I max out my subs. (I listen to the radio at 15-20) I want subs that can handle that normal volume around 15-20 but can go past 25 without blowing up. I want more output! Dont get me wrong, they get loud, and sound good at normal listning levels, but they dont get as loud as my friends subs. I also notice many of the other people at my school have a large xmax on their subs. I can see them move a good bit, mine dont seem to move near as much.

Best 10s for me?
I have 2 boxes in my trunk. Each identical, like the picture above. My boxes are around 1 cubic foot, with these 2 ports tuned around 33hz each box.. There inside a 2000 Ford Mustang Vert, and there the best I can do. my best response is around 35-45hz in the cabin. My amp is a kicker 750.1 running around 800 or so rms, cleanpower. My current subwoofers, 2 Kicker CVRs. There great subwoofers, but im looking for more, an I know people I can sell them to so I can get a decent return on them. Im looking for the best 10 inch subwoofers I can place in these boxes to get the most out of my system. I am not sure how well different subwoofers preform in different enclosures, so I was thinking... Sundown Audio E-10 (The cheapest, but one of my best bets) Alpine SWS (Or SWR if its worth it) Kicker CompR (The NEW CVR, like I already have) Any ideas? PLEASE and THANK YOU! *Also, I would like to keep the price of the new subwoofers as cheap as possible*
