You answered your own question in your post. If the price for their materials goes up the cost of the product goes up. Would you like them to switch to an overseas build house: stop supporting our economy, and have a less hands on approach? If you can't afford it look for a different sub. I'm not trying to be a dick and I also can't afford an 800+ dollar sub. And this forum does not ban people for voicing their opinion so I wouldn't be too worried about that. I'm just not sure what answer you would like to receive.

Lose the idea of port area per cube. For the XCON 10 I would use a minimum of 20^2 in... Ideally I would use 25 to 30 per 10.

thanks! i wish ssa had an amp line, i just might try one. To build an amp up to SSA standards would be not very cost effective I don't believe.. Just my opinion. But with SSA's motto being built in america, I'm assuming that principal would still apply for any future products. And IIRC, an all american amplifier may cost a bit compared to what other brands offer watt to watt. Also, iirc, some pieces that are produce in every amplifier are only produce in other countries, which again, would go against the SSA motto. But if it could be done, without a doubt I would too buy!! If I'm not mistaken Aaron or Mark said it is something that they might consider. If so I'm right there with you guys.

appreciate it bro, do you know any shops around town i should check out or just stick to online shopping? And i will definitely be needing one soon, i hope to have my amp subs and maybe comps by the end of the month. Also thanks guys for your suggestions, i will for sure look into them. Will the ssd's really handle 1k watts each continuously? It seems to good to be true, to have that much power and built at the quality it is... My experiences with the local shops have all been bad. I stick to doing my own installs and buy 90% of my stuff online.
