  1. BUY ME!
  2. There won't be a huge audible difference, the HiFonics and Alpine are both good amps. pick which one you like most and go with it. ok let say I go with the HiFonics and later on run it at 1 ohms how close would I get from the 1600 watts. Do they do rated rms? I don't know the ratings on the amp... but it will again, be in-audible. In order to get a noticable difference in output you must gain atleast 3 dB (human threshold for hearing).. In order do do that you must double your power each time for 1 dB difference. Here are the specs thats at 14.4 volts Power Specifications - Full Range Channels RMS Power @ 4 ohms 550 watts x 1 channel RMS Power @ 2 ohms 1100 watts x 1 channel RMS Power @ 1 ohm 1600 watts x 1 channel I'd keep the Alpine. You won't notice a difference in output and the Alpine is likely more reliable.
  3. Time to drink ! Cheers
  4. Haha right? Have you been drinking Jon? I certainly have! no im working.. i just have a wicked memory .. almost 9 months ago he asked how to break into a honda civic.. i was going to tell him .. but then asked why... turns out his chick has a civic and does not want him monkeyin around with wires inside of it.. so she hides her keys every time she goes to see him... he thought it would be cute to break into it and install a stereo with out her knowing... so when this topic comes up and the install vehicle is a honda civic it does not escape me that its hers. Haha I remember that! Ohhh the Johnnie is going down so smooth. Have fun at work man.
  5. Haha right? Have you been drinking Jon? I certainly have!
  6. I'm curious as to why you say ONLY if he plans to upgrade power? Wouldn't the nightshade be louder than the other two options and leave him with the ability to upgrade power if he wants? Not trying to "start" anything just wondering.
  7. The fifteen would have more output for sure, if it is in a proper enclosure.
  8. Not a problem at all man. I run a zcon on 1500. Then there is always room to upgrade power in the future. I guarantee you will be shocked with the output on only 1k
  9. Why would you have less power available for the 15? I'd probably do the extra 10 because it'll be cheaper and there won't be too much of a difference in output between the two. Well I didn't wanna over power the sa15 Some guy locally is selling a sa15 in custom box for $200. And another sa10 is about $200. I already have the kicker amps (well they are my uncle's) I also have a 15" sundown nightshade as an option but it would be powered by the kicker 1000.1. I'm not paying for more amps lol There wouldn't be a difference in output not by the slightest? I would do the nightshade hands down.
  10. Why would you have less power available for the 15? I'd probably do the extra 10 because it'll be cheaper and there won't be too much of a difference in output between the two.
  11. So how do you like it??
  12. Found something I'd like to buy. Any offers at all?
  13. I don't "Nuthug" anyone. I've run Sundown and probably will again. Like I said neither driver would be a bad choice.
  14. Exactly! You will love it at 450 though. Best driver you can buy at the price in my opinion.
  15. I really would love a nice db meter!
  16. Don't get me wrong you can't go wrong either way, and the new Z looks amazing but I seriously love my zcon. I'm only running 1500 at the moment and it is awesome.
  17. I've run a z v.1 and v.2.....Love my ZCON
  18. I wouldn't mind seeing some SSA woofers in there to be honest man. I think they would go well with the rest of your stuff. They sound amazing. ZCON FTW!
  19. Since you don't have a sub amp or an enclosure I agree with bassahaulic.
  20. The fifteens would have a bit more cone area and the potential to be louder. It is all in the install though. I'd probably run the z's just because they will probably handle the power better, and I'm not knocking the sa's because I know they can take more than they're rated for. Do you have the electrical to back that much power?
  21. My front stage is good right now but thanks. Keep throwing them out there though.
