  1. He has my old HU and it was VERY accurate in my last car. You have to remember, it is measuring the input voltage to the HU, not at your amplifiers, so of course you will have voltage drop back there. I'm by no means calling you out but as I stated MY unit was off.
  2. The voltage is very inaccurate on mine +or- an entire volt. Awesome hu though.
  3. You apparently did not try to make them sound good, because they can. L7's???? lol no sir they do not. thats the onl reason i got rid of mine.... it got damn loud and dirty low BUT the SQ was SHITTY big time. i have heard numerous l7 set-ups in many different vehicles and i have yet to hear on with good SQ. now the cvx, thats a different story. they have good sq and spl. They are the exact same motor... ya but the cvx is round..... do u see square sound waves??? the l7 is louder from more cone area IMO

It's in the install man. There are very few woofers that can't sound good when properly installed.
  5. The front and rear are full range signals. If your HU doesn't have processing for an active setup you'll need processing after the headunit to send the proper signal to each driver.
  6. I REALLY want to get my hands on the 15!
  7. Welcome to the board!
  8. The box isn't a good place to be cheap. In my opinion the box is the most important factor in the substage.
  9. Sorry my man that sucks. I'll keep an eye out down here in Tucson, but I'd bet it's in cali or Mexico by now.
  10. Awesome man have you done your own recone before?
  11. OHHHHH I remember your dumbass.......Kidding but I wouldn't expect much for a few more weeks. I know what it's like without bass though.

    My two favorite girls.
  13. If at all possible you should do an amped set of comps.
  14. yeah thats to big. I would add enough bracing to bring it down to 2.5 cubes. Don't do this without changing the design. If you just add bracing you will change the tuning.
  15. Even with that little power 4 cubes seems a bit large. I've never modeled the 12 so I'm not speaking from expeirience.
  16. Man best car audio forum out there in my opinion. Great members and a plethora of information.
  17. WOW man I just saw this. Props to you. I bet you're feeling great about it. I hope to have similar results soon. The funny thing is I'm "Big Rick" to my buddy's. Big Rick, and Big Jon get smaller haha.
  18. Very nice! Do you mind saying who you went with for repair?
  19. The per cubic foot rule is BS. Port area is based on the amount of air that the drivers can displace.
  20. Fit as much cone area as possible while still being able to fit an ideal enclosure.
  21. Are you kidding me You've had this mans money for two years?
  22. And figure out why your fuse holder melted!
  23. No problem man. Basically get the biggest one that you can fit and afford.
