  1. Sounds and looks good!
  2. Nice! I like the "naked" look.
  3. I hate that!
  4. If active is a possibility get the Pioneer.
  5. Kenwood and Pioneer are my two choices for current head units. I had a two bad Alpines which left a bad taste in my mouth, but others swear by them. Jvc is decent too.
  6. If I were looking for a new unit I would get the kenwood 997, or an 80prs. The pioneer only if you think you would use it's active capabilities.
  7. Judging by your goals any of those will work for you. The 80prs would give you a lot of flexibility if you upgrade your front stage in the future.

He's probably referring to his other JP thread that was closed because it was going nowhere good.

Who here is a "JP fanboy" his ass is banned from here.
  12. Ironically after I said I hadn't had any problems my buddy installed an apsm 1500 yesterday and within minutes there was magical smoke. It was not user error, or an install issue.
  13. But then what do i do with the door speakers? just not use them... 6.5 in each door and a tweeter wherever the stock location is, IF you don't want to put it somewhere better. Everything else can be disconnected.
  14. Get a single set of components and use one of the sundown amps as a two channel bridging ch 1&2 and 3&4 to each side; or two raw 6.5s and two tweeters for an active setup.
  15. You don't need anywhere near that much, and will only make it sound worse by adding more than you need. too much power you mean or speakers? Headroom is always good so I won't say too much power, even though one amp is plenty in my opinion. Way too many speakers.

  17. I have used the apsm's in the past without any issues. I like my ppi bk amps very much and they are fairly cheap.
  18. Not too bad for a little audio forum
  19. Happy Birthday Nick, have a good one!
  20. Where the fuck are the trucks!?
  21. Worth a try I guess... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dhm8Ss8OsnQ
  22. Haha that's what I was thinking.
