  1. That's a bit better, but not ideal. It's super easy and cheap to try, so I'd say to try it out and go from there.
  2. Post a screenshot.
  3. If you make the ports as big as they should be it is going to take up a lot of volume inside of the enclosure, and most likely will not yield very good results. Post the dimensions of the enclosure and I can tell you for sure.
  4. You can't just change the port, or your tuning/volume won't be right.
  5. The good part is that a new enclosure is much cheaper than more amps, batteries, and subs.
  6. Basically you need a new enclosure.
  7. 32hz is fine, but your port needs to be bigger and longer.
  8. Good man
  9. 32hz is fine, but your port needs to be bigger and longer.
  10. Area is the size of the opening. In your case 5X9=45 square inches each port for a total of 90. You should ha at LEAST twice that much.
  11. A lot more port area. How much do you currently have?
  12. Wellllcome back.
  13. Port area sucks...you need a new enclosure.
  14. Well send me your phone, or you can just post a pic
  15. Do you have a picture of it?
  16. Very true haha, but you shouldn't be able to listen to two 18's on 4k for too long without getting very uncomfortable. But hey everyone has their own goals.
  17. If you aren't loud with two 18's on 4k something is wrong, unless you're just looking for higher numbers.
  18. And that would be what I was misreading Never mind I was right lol "1 Soundstream tx1.2000 amp on each"
  19. And that would be what I was misreading
  20. Maybe. Difference is ~4.4db before power compression which is going to be significant @ 2750w per driver. It's entirely possible for power compression to completely eliminate that gain in amplifier power, not to mention he'd be 1kw over the RMS rated power per driver running at full power. The difference between his current power level and running them at rated power wouldn't be audible enough to make the upgrade worthwhile. By the time you factor in the cost of the amp & the additional electrical needed to support it you are in the realm of diminishing returns going with either option, in my opinion. And that youtube video of the clamp test is entirely useless. Put no faith at all in it. 4000 to 5500 is a theoretical ~4.4dbs? Or am I reading something wrong?
  21. On it's way to Skar headquarters.
  22. You won't gain audible volume with either of those amps.

You weren't prepared for that knowledge drop huh? Not at all.
