When I bought my zcon I could barely make it move when I pressed down on it. It will loosen up after you start beating on it.

It is normal for it to be stiff.

I don't have a clue as to what I'm doing for subs now. I need more than the single 12. I don't know whether I want to recone or sell what I have and start over. I also don't know if I should go bigger if I recone. I effing hate this hobby.

I can't really understand your picture. Pretend the wood cover isn't there, how big is the opening? Height and width?

Well it turns out one of the XCONs I bought (of course the one I didn't choose to use right away) is blown. Shame on me for not testing it. If anyone needs a motor PM me.

The passive crossover that comes with the comps will high pass the tweeters and low pass the mids. You usually use your head unit or amp to high pass the mids so they don't play frequencies below ~80 hertz. (depends on the mid)

Ahh just saw noticed what amp you are using. I'm not sure how those OS kicker crossovers work.

That is a nice set but I honestly like my Alpine mids better than that particular Morel mid.

Looks like a solid little amp. I'd save some money and get the boston acoustics 2125.

How much port area? I agree that a new enclosure is probably a good idea.

I really do like the Alpine's but I like trying new things. I am running some Vifa tweets with the mids and it sounds great, but I really want to try out some Exodus mids.
