I am running a 12 inch SSD sub sealed in a 1 cubic foot box. I was wondering what any of you fill your sealed boxes with? I remember reading about polyfil and stuffing and am just curious on what this does and how it effects the sound.

Thats what i was thinking. Its just something i am curious about and was wondering what people with 4 way active tend to do.

What are some good 6 channel amp choices? To bad sundown didn't make a 6 channel. Especially if it put more or less powers out on certain channels.

I want the h701 combo. Just curious about amp selection.

What amps do you guys use when you need 6 channels of power for this set of speakers? Or do you mostly break it up with a 4 channel and a 2 channel amp?

Haha i see well i wouldnt want to run something knowing i am going to hurt it in the long run. The RL-I says 300rms but i feel that is very conservative so i feel the 100.2 would be a good match up. I would have to get the single 4 ohm bc the duel 4 ohms can only be ran at 2ohm or 8 ohms in a single setup unless i am mistaken?

My friend is finishing up his system and is in the market to buy a 10 inch subwoofer. He is going to run it sealed and we have narrowed the selection down the Icon or the RL-I. We decided to run it off a sundown 100.2 bridged and from what i have heard i believe it puts out about 500 watts at 4 ohms. Can it be run at 2 ohms? Also in terms of SQ does the RL-I take it?

Yes i have dimming. Also have a volt meter and i see the battery voltage drop down to around low 12s.

Can you ever have to much battery? I can fit a powermaster d3100 up front and I am also getting a 200 amp alt from excessive. My system only consists of a alpine mrd1005d mono amp and the sundown 100.4. How do these batteries compare to kinetik?

Well my dad has finally given me permission to upgrade my electrical system correctly. 200 amp alternator from excessive and I am going to get a deep cycle battery up front. My system isn't that ridiculous when it comes to watts - alpine mrd1005 and the sundown 100.4. I am looking at the Powermaster 2700 or the Kinetik 2000. Opinions? My stock alt is 120amps and I am somewhat hesitant in getting the alt because I feel with the battery it will be ok. The only thing is I don't want to end up hurting the battery or the current alt in the car now. Just am looking for some advice/guidance.

Any experience or comments about Excessive and their amps?

Would a good deep cycle and my stock alt (110amp) plus big 3 be enough for my amps? Also got a quote from Excessive and $355 shipped for 200 amp alt. Quality product?

I don't really know what high output alts cost. My general idea was 300-500. Could be wrong?

Ok so I have done the Big 3. Have a jeep grand cherokee. Found out the alt stock is 110amps. I am running a 100.4 amp and an alpine mrd1005d. Looking to get a deep cycle battery up front and a bigger alt. Battery i have up there now is 11 long and 7.5 wide. I looked at the battery basket and measured 13 long. I was thinking a powermaster d3100 up front. Just am trying to brainstorm some ideas and figure out a few different product choices. Also the Sea tweeters sound very nice. Barely need any power to get loud which really surprised me. Almost got those Excel mids dialed in and the midrange clarity is def worth it.

Dont feel like starting another tread but friend is looking to get a 12inch Icon Sealed running off a sundown 1000D. Optimal box that they suggest is 1.2 cubic inches. Would there be any benefits to a bigger enclosure? Also what are the differences between the 10 and 12. More cone area for the 12 more output? does one get a little lower? any SQ differences?

Title explains it just wanted to run it by some people on here. Wanted to keep it pretty simple and not overly expensive. Going with a an alpine 9887 headunit running active. Sundown 100.4 amp, Sea CA18RNX mids, and Seas 27TFFNC/G tweeters. Crossing tweets at around 2.5k and mids around low 2k. Question that i just want to make sure is can the CA18RNX mids run up to the 2k range?

If that amp existed i would sell both my amps and get that one. Can drive front stage active plus a 15 inch icon sealed. Perfect

Best friend wants to upgrade his system on his 1999 Jeep Cherokee. $1000 Budget for front comps, subwoofer and box, big 3, door sound deadening, 2 channel, and mono amp. Currently has a headunit. Older alpine not exactly sure right now but i will find out. Not sure if it could run active and i know he wants to keep it simple. Loves House music and also listens to Rap and Rock. Currently he has 2 front and 2 rear alpine type s coaxials running off a headunit with a kenwood mono amp and an alpine type r - a real best buy type of system. So any pair of components off a 2 channel amp would be satisfying to him. I'm pretty sure we are going to have to keep it passive. I was thinking a pair of Pioneer Premier TS-C720PRS run off a JL Audio A2150. Substage is still being thought about - must likely ICON 10 or 12 sealed off a sundown sae-1000d. Does not like a harsh sound so soft dome is a must. Bc of the love for house midbass is important to him. Appreciate any suggestions, don't want to mislead him that badly

1) Would it harm the amp if you do not use all the channels? Need to send one of my speakers back for warranty and wondering if there is no speaker on channel 4 if that would hurt the amp. 2) Friend wants to upgrade his system. What type of power does bridging channels 3 & 4 give? Want to possibly run a pair of components and a sub.

Those excels take up a good portion and to be honest i havent really tackled the mounting yet because i still have not figured out nor have a driver yet. If u recall i f'uped my supremos got them back under warranty and sold them off. After that ive been waiting around for those peerless.

Mounting location for the tweeters are going to be on the dash. I have a jeep grand cherokee and they are located pointing up towards the glass. Mids are in the doors. Seas look nice, morels look nice - that price difference is fine. Im willing to spend anywhere from 50 - 100 per driver. I was thinking of the full range idea that you mentioned. What would i benefit/ lose from that choice? I listen to mostly rap and hip hop. Throw some techno in there and some rock.

I am just looking for something that will pair well with those mids, so if it is a textile driver then so be it. Just tired of waiting for those peerless

I am slowly getting tired of listening to my bootleg setup while i wait for the peerless hds tweeters to become in stock. Are there any other tweeters that anyone recommended/ had experience with that they feel would be a good 2 way setup with the sea excel mids. The peerless seemed to work well because they are capable of being crossover relatively slow since the excels have heavy breakup around the 1200 area. From all the research and reviews ive heard about the peerless they seem almost untouchable and i want something that is similar quality and performance and also price range. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated because Madisound said another month on backorder and ive already been waiting a month and a halffff =/
