Just curious if your headunits filter has a 12db slope and the amp also has a 12db slope does that create a 24db slope?

It is the z560 plate amp. Supposely 188rms amp regardless i think its enough to push a MAW 10 considering in that build i posted he used a 70rms amp. I cant find what impedance the amp is anyone know? Other amps on logitechs website is mostly 8 ohm.

Space isnt an issue its going to be for a laptop setup. An 8 or a 10 would be fine. Box could be whatever size it needs but not to big that i cannot move it etc.

I've tried that many times. Nothing seems to be working for me getting very frustrated, this whole system has been a disaster. Speaker went out again after being on for a little bit. Heat issue? makes no sense, i dont get how sometimes it works and then sometimes it doesn't. Could it be the headunit?

Ok so i did some more work and pulled out the headunit and checked all the RCA's. I looks like channel 2 does work as of now. have to see if it continues to cut out during more play, but my question is if there is a short in the line will just one channel go out (like just channel 2)? channels 1,3,4 have never given me any problems and i have yet to see the amp go into protect mode of any sort.

Is the 800prs just a newer model and black? Are there any real differences?

Positive, i switched both inputs and speaker wires for both tweeters. For example, channel two tweeter is the front right tweeter. If i put it on channel 1 that tweeter plays. If i switch the front left tweeter (originally channel 1) to channel two it does not play. Also if i do this same process but instead switch inputs it repeats. Channel 1 input would work but channel 2 wouldn't.

Whats the deal with shipping a product back for testing/warranty?

yeah i switched rca's to see if the headunit was providing a signal. Still no sound. I had my dad troubleshoot it with me also and channel two just does not play.

So just got back from college and still having problems with my channel 2 on the amp. The tweeter goes on and off when i drive. It comes back after i shut the headunit off for any given amount of time - could be quick could be long. I checked the connection of the speaker and saw that it was not solid so i replaced the speaker wire and fixed the connection; nevertheless the tweeter still does not play. Any ideas? I have tried the same speaker on channel 1 and it works fine.

if a iva-d310 is coupled with a h701 is the d310's "brain" still needed?

What does the RUX - 701 go with? Does it couple with another headunit but just replaces its face? im confused about this part

What are some of alpines flip out monitors that work with the h701? i was looking at getting a iva - d310. Any experience with this headunit? Also would i be able to hook this up to a pioneer 9800 headunit? Without a dvd display is manually tuning this a pain?

I have enough room to have a ported enclosure. Nothing ridiculous in size, but i have the space that is necessary to have this driver sounding good. I am going to match it with those SR71 design from zaphaudio. Musically preferences is mostly rap, hip hop and techno. I'm willing to spend 100 - 200 for a sub driver.

Well i have 200rms to work with. I am fine going with an 8, i wanted to originally. I was thinking of the assassin, but not sure how low it could go. Want something that will go low with nice SQ thats why i was thinking sealed, but the output is still tempting if i go ported. Opinions?

Not looking to make a system for life, but i will keep it for most of my college. Mainly going to be used for music purposes but will throw some movies through it every now and then. Is the only difference between the 800prs from the 880prs is that it is black, copper frame, and more money? i cant seem to find any performance differences.

Thinking of making a 2.1 system for my dorm. I am going to use an logitech plate amp so im looking at around 200rms for the sub channel. I was looking at the 8 inch Assassin, but i'm not sure if i should go for a 10 inch. What would be a good SQ sub either 8 inch or 10 inch. My main goal is for it to be a clear sounding sub that can get much lower then the stock logitech setup

i want to know the difference between the pioneer 800prs and the 880prs because i already have a 9800BT installed with the ipod interface so it would be the easiest for me to just switch out, however, if the eclipse is just that much better then both i may just decide to pick it up
