  1. everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I respect yours. However, I get a long with a lot of the people in the jello and crunk thread and if they lived near me I'm sure we could all be good friends. I'm not saying any of those guys are meeting me in Tulsa but there's one guy that seems pretty cool. SSA sure doesn't ever have any meets *cough* *cough* We have had a few. There have been a few in SoCal, Arizona, and Virgina.
  2. I may appear that way, but I am not the type. I hold everything in, only outlet is soccer once a week and gym.
  3. I know I'm a prick to judge people by how they look, but that's life. I admit, I tend to do it too. But that is somewhat a product of my background. As soon as I saw your picture, I thought "Oh thank god, this appears to be a normal person." Hard to find some of those, you know. The facebook picture of me with junior? The first one I saw was at a birthday party of yours where he was looking in the cooler, if I remember correctly. I think the picture was hosted here. How is working going by the way? I think you were working on a new, very small actuator that you were under a lot of pressure for? How did that turn out? Quite bad actually, if you want to know more I can tell you via PM. Short version, they owe me a chunk of money, they are using the design, they broke MD labor laws, one of our lawyers had a field day. End of story I am back in super scramble mode for new job.

  5. 5 channel > 3 channel. If you're selling to DIY'ers, a 3 channel needs another amp to run active, and if you're selling to the "Iwanna make it go bang bang loud y0" crowd, 450 watts won't cut it. that audison 5.1k does: 4/4/4 ohm 2x50 2x170 1x750 4/4/2 ohm 2x50 2x160 1x1150 4/2/2 ohm 2x50 2x250 1x1030 would make a perfect single amp setup in a 3-way application. chit if they add an extra 2 channels on the a/b it would be the perfect amp for 4-way..using 1 amp! i dont think there is any SQ'ers (lol made up term) that would need more than 1000 watts of power to a sub. The SQ DIY crowd is our initial target.
  6. CLASSIC!@!!!!

  8. Two years? How about now The world needs a new surfboard Something about the size of the Orion 2500D or Memphis Belle is just about the size limit for today it seems.
  9. 5 channel > 3 channel. If you're selling to DIY'ers, a 3 channel needs another amp to run active, and if you're selling to the "Iwanna make it go bang bang loud y0" crowd, 450 watts won't cut it. Oh yeah I know all to well. Just something cool to me about a stout small foot print 3 channel. I would prefer not to focus on ^^^ crowd. But they are the ones who turn it over fast. Heck, in 2 years, 1kw on the sub channel won't be enough for them. The more I mess with the idea, it just seems like full range class d will be needed to stay under surf board size. I love the Zapco 650.6, wish I owned one, but not strong enough and just too damn long.
  10. My goulashes are not big enough.
  11. Crap I want that!!! Let me rephrase that. I want SSA to build something very similar. pull a Milne on it blame it on Tangbang for stealing the idea(in this case audison) Well after the class - a discussion, I what I would prefer to have is a 75-125x4 Class A/B and 900-1300x1 Class D. I do have the bugaboo to do a small 3 channel amp, 75x2 A/B 450x1 D.
  12. It struggles below 4k, but is otherwise a nice driver for the money. A comparison of it and the Seas neo textile would be interesting.

  14. If that is the newest woofer tester they have, I am very interested in what you say about it.
  15. I am not even going to look I searched and came up with nothing Ebay
  16. Crap I want that!!!
  17. I agree. I have never owned a dedicated sub that small. Interested to see the outcome. Some reason I like multiple small driver installs.
  18. Welcome to SSA. Louder is more dependent on the install then just the subwoofer. If I were in your situation, I would probably choose the Q, but the SSD with Copper coil is nice.
  19. Wow!! Would love to hear it.
  20. The MJ is fine sealed, and yes it does well in a smallish box.
  21. Going to have a great deal of output either way. I know what my single RL-p 12 can do, so....
  22. Get a BL and let him buy the PA and then he can see his mistake.
