I think I am going to great the Calvary 500gig before they "run out of stock" on this one too.

The first 3 drivers I listed would be at home in smaller then a cube.

Good job, not many people know how to properly run a sub that far over its rms.

To help the process, what are your needs from the box? Did you want ported or sealed? Did you have any particular size constraints or need it to fit in a tight space?

I would prefer the Kicker amplifier.

Sealed output is box dependent and power level. As for TC, the prices have jumped a great deal since the introduction of Audio Pulse, enough that their internet following has dropped off a great deal.

The FI Q, SSA ICON and Fi SSD are all solid choices for a 10". I was going to mention the SI BM, but it is a dual 4, there are not many dual 2 10" drivers out there, but honestly the RL-i 10 S4 is an option. The RL-i has had a long track record of happy customers.

At the gym this morning, I was Steve (captain) for a few moments. Since I had mentioned about gym pet peeves, near the top of that list is someone asking to work in while I am in the middle of a rep. I am at the end of my workout, already done my 45 mins of cardio, so I finish my set, and slowly take out my ear buds, and give the guy a look and say "Ok go ahead". I am already two sets into the shoulder shrug rack, and this guy wants to show off for his buddy and a girl. He semi challenges me to max up the ladder, I say sure what the heck. 225lbs, roll out 12 smooth, he struggles a little to get 9 out. I ask go up? He says yeah and turns to smile at the girl waiting for the machine next to us. 315lbs, 12 more out (4th set by this point), he shimmies and shakes out 8. I ask to go up more, he grunts and says yes. 405lbs, 9 smooth out as I start to feel a little pinch in lower back (did not have my belt today), he barely gets 3. I ask to go up a 1/2 step, his buddy pats him on the back says "go for it", he turns to me looking a little drained and says yes. 455lbs and the rack is flexing with each movement, I get 6 smooth, cheat 2 more. The "challenger" shudders to get 1. He slams it down like he just broke the record and struts around to attract more attention from the girl. He mumbles something about having to fit a few more exercises in before he leaves. So, while he is picking up his bag and workout pad and trying to work a game on the girl on the machine adjacent to us, I slap on a pair of 10's. 475lbs, 3 smooth, 1 cheat, drop slam it, pick up my water bottle and smile at the girl as he stands there stunned. Good workout.

damn, i got to some number..either 36 or 56....then gave up, maybe i'll give it another go I got to level 8 got stuck, and I have not gotten back to it yet.

The FI Q, SSA ICON, SI MAG, and AA Havoc are along similar goals as the IDMAX. All, I believe, can be bought for less too. I don't know the D9 enough to comment on it. There really is no best pick, all are very capable and quality drivers that would do well with that power, with many happy owners. If you want non-mainstream the first 4 fit that for sure.
