  1. I think I am one of the more laid back admin's, well of the sites that have active admins.
  2. I've been following several threads he's been active in lately, and well, that comment just put him over the top. It's in Aaron's hands now. Thank you He is up to 20%, should be higher, I finally said something to him in the smell the bass topic by Jason. If he continues after moderators have asked and then after I have asked it might be time.......
  3. that's a CAD program right? any FEA capabilities? Not that I know of on the xpress version.
  4. Thanks. I think I've settled on either the Fi Q or Fi SSD. Just need to get some solid input about which would be better in my application. Pair of 12s, sealed, 600w each, mostly rock and rap but also some jazz and blues. The RL-p is a nice suggestion also. If you are set on the Q or SSD, with that power, I would lean towards the SSD with Copper coil option.
  5. Neil's explanation was excellent, I feel it would just be safer to go with a pair of 8's or a single 10 that can fit in your install and blend well with your front stage.
  6. Dopey please chill out. I know Jason personally, yes he has been out of the car audio game for a little while, but he is not new to this. I have been inside his truck and I know he is not about to push any of his equipment to the limit, especially in an SQ install. Heck he was running his 100.2 @ 8ohms. I trust him not to blow anything up, and like mentioned before, this was a prototype amp and it has not been tested on the open market. To add to that it was not even going to make it to market, Jacob is rebuilding and redesigning that model.
  7. It is not worth getting into, the constantly growing bad eD track record is evident with the JL basket issues, and "borrowed" design from TB. Not to mention the pointless videos posted by them showing how poorly run their company is.
  8. The SSD can take more power, looks like we are going to have to change your user name to FifutureStar.
  9. I believe that Mark said the MJ-18 takes up .3 cubes.
  10. Those were the days when we had Alaxan and Rangerman on our staff here.
  11. If you were to go BL, (options you listed) the P Chamfer & Cooling would be a good idea, plus the flatwound coil (to increase power handling). The rest, Daily, No extreme Lead, and no on universal. I have seen a BL 15 handle a lot more power then 2000 watts, but it was for short periods. You should be ok with those options, they increase wattage limits and cooling for your daily needs, and if you are still pushing it too hard, the sub will tell you and just back down on your gains some.
  12. To me, if that amp does that power, an optioned up BL or BTL is the answer. Maybe the BTL 12, with cooling and Pchamfer, is a good start, you could add the 3rd magnent and xmxcoil if you plan to really push the sub.
  13. I've got a rack of lamb soaking in buttermilk that will be grilled over an open fire. Pulled out some garlic mashers from the freezer to eat with it. I have wanted to grill, but we have not had people over in a while...
  14. We are working on that stuff.
