In my explorer, rear firing has better low end extension and a smoother rool off. Upward firing provides a serious boost in output but the low lows are not as strong, and driverside firing seems to be a semi mix of the two. But most will say rear fire is the best bet.

I am rusty on my old old Orion, but I dont think the SX droped down as low as the HCCA's, but I would safely guess it would be closer to 45 x 2 @4ohms and maybe pushing the range of 160 x1 @4, but I could be a little off on my figures, little rusty like I said.

Don't know what that whitish looking reflection across the amp is in the picture....a glare or something from taking the pic I assume. It's not actually present on the unit itself. thats one of those pieces you just keep regarless if you use it or not

I still have one of the original Punch 150s. It's a bit beat up as it has been through several owners since it was new but when it finally came to me in working condition (bought it because of what it was though I had no good use for it at the time) it got benched to verify its operational condition then went on a shelf where it currently resides. I'm not letting it go. Just recently bought an old Orion 222 SX for no other reason than it was old-school gear at a decent price. Hence my specific mention of the one mod who I might actually get banned by and a disclaimer of not particularly being concerned with any others. I've had discussions with Mike about disagreement I had with certain actions. It was discussed and then it was over. I've talked with Justin about things I disagreed with. it was talked about then it was over. Neither of them made any great efforts to defend what they had done while discussing it ~ a fact that I have a great deal of respect for. It's just the one, denim. And at the end of the day I do not dislike Noah. I reckon he's likely a good guy and for the most part amuses me more often than not. Ahh.......nevermind. I do not care to get on my soapbox again about things I have no control over so I'ma just shaddup... I think some people that that board to seriously and some are on a power trip. I am not pointing fingers, just never took that place all that seriously.

I'm quite certain that before long Noah will find a reason (or simply create one) to ban me. I'm not overly concerned with any of the other mods banning me. And if I do get banned I'll just migrate over here permanently until you guys see fit to eliminate that option as well. you have shown no reason to warent the need for me to, plus I feel the mod team here is very good and no trigger happy, yes there are a few similar people, but things run somewhat smoother here, not to mention I have not had to ban a real regular member here in a very long time
