  1. DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!! CBfryman, I just typed this huge response to the MAC v. PC ordeal. I am not going to type it all over again. To get to the point, I have a lengthly background in MAC/PC and now gaining more unix everyday. I run MAC and PC at home, run all 3 at work. Skiping to next point, G5s ARE upgradeable, we have done it here at work many times. I read every post in the topic you posted, and the vast majority of those posts were made out of sheer ignorance. People were making negative comments about a platform and operating system they do not know much if anything about. I am not saying one is superior to the other, but there is a reason unix is still around, because it is super stable and very usable once learned. So it makes sence that Apple/MACs are now unix based, and now that they can run windows software it is saying something. To me as I see it here at work everyone in my branch has 3 machines, slowly everyone is transitioning to G5, they are able to run all three and are very stable. The only issues we have had with our machines are power issues, and that has nothing to do with the operating system or the computer, it has to do with a building that was not wired to handle the current draw that we are putting on it. I love my dell and I love my mac, but if I was forced to choose, I would take the G5 and smile. Not beating the dead horse again, just trying to clear a few things up. Once again not saying one is better than the other, only stating some facts.
  2. to SSA, that sounds like a great deal to me it is hard for me to say how they will preform, but all powerbass subs have been strong in my experience, if you get a chance!

    nice pix
  6. I currently have two sets of Orion p6.2s in my doors of my car, they are stupid stupid loud and the gains are near zero BUT!!!! with 2 sets of tweets it has been a bear to EQ and image, I am going to pull the second set. So I do not reccomend for crisp SQ to run two sets of components right next to each other. If you like the sound of the Audiobahns, that is all that matters. Run some clean power to them and you should be fine.
  7. tirefryr talked about this, that some aftermarket alternators are different from others, I have used iraggi in the past, good alt
  8. because that is the Ti Pro, more adept for SPL competitions, not as good for daily, if you want an Eclipse for daily a regular Ti would be better suited
  9. I mentioned a few good ones
  10. yuck on the Alpine subs, if you have to get the sub from there and you want something cheap go with the lower end Eclipse I vote
  11. thanks and welcome, we need more German car people here
  12. Unless you put the M coupe suspension under it.
  13. they are, but would a bigger box make them louder THat I am not sure of, it will be more efficent, but I have not tested the new 3XL's so I cannot give a good reccomendation yet.
  14. have you done anything to your ride, denim? Ramos, Dave_E, and I were supposed to when I was last there not to long ago, but I think you heard what happened with Ramos, and Dave had the Z3 that he had to finish which ended up being a waste of our time (I want to slap the owner of that Z3 myself). Not to mention I am very tight on cash at the moment, we opted to put baby Arthur in the flat out best private day care in the area but that means we do not have much at all to work with once bills are paid.
  15. I have tested the MAG and listened to the sundown, but not at the same time, both were excellent from my experience

  17. used SL500 ftw!! haha, honestly I would take a new Miata over the ones selected, it is proven and has a great track record, easy to work on and find parts for, not to hard to pump more ponnies into it
  18. If your sponsors cant/wont cover what you need you could always PM someone you know, who doesnt mind hookin up his e-friends, and that you trust .....who can get damn near anything at over just cost. i dont have sponsors mang. ill need to put up some good numbers before that can happen. Ill also have to see how i like it along with how college goes before i get sponsored. By sponsors i meant the businesses/dealers already here. Like flakko, PB, US, etc etc etc just to make sure things are clear, they are no sponsers, only hosted forums, no one is charged
  19. side note: we just picked up another MB driver on here
  20. damn it is really coming along nicely!! love those hinge covers, I should have made you make me a pair, but I don't think I am doing to do much more hacking to mine for a long time, keep the pictures coming!
