  8. Password-Stealing Trojan Spreads Jeremy Kirk, IDG News Service 2 hours, 56 minutes ago A fresh round of spam with a password-stealing Trojan horse detected this week uses a German-language pitch, saying the malicious attachment is an official Microsoft Windows update. ADVERTISEMENT The attached malware, called "Trojan-PSW.Win32.Sinowal.u" by antivirus software developer Kaspersky Lab, is a next-generation Trojan that's on the rise, said Roel Schouwenberg, a senior research engineer with the company. The Sinowal family of malware was first detected in December, and first seeded on malicious Web sites. If a user visited the site and did not have a properly patched browser, the software would install itself, allowing it to harvest login and password information for some European banks' Web sites, Schouwenberg said. The Sinowal family of malware may have been created in Russia, since the malware code contains some Russian, he said. The latest spam messages have a ".de" e-mail address. Rather depending on a browser exploit to install itself, the latest version of Sinowal tries to trick users into installing it. The message, written in German, claims that a new worm is on the loose, and that the recipient should run the attached file to protect their system. Schouwenberg said the malware writers may have decided to send it by mass e-mail if the browser exploit approach wasn't working as well. How It Works The Sinowal Trojan is a type of "man-in-the-middle" malware. Even if a user has started a Secure Sockets Layer transaction with a bank, the Sinowal Trojan can insert HTML code that causes a pop-up window asking for a user name and password. It is programmed to react to certain bank Web sites. "This is something we are going to see more and more and really make life hard," Schouwenberg said. It's unique since it then sends that information immediately to the hacker's server rather than storing the information for periodic transmission, Schouwenberg said. The Trojan is also capable of checking for updates of itself.
  9. I know it is a must for my trunk, doors I should do too. But not sure if I have time or motivation to do the cabin. The car is pretty quiet at the moment.
  10. I am very sorry to hear that Ramos. I wish you and your family the best of luck. If you need someone to talk to, I am always a good listener.
  11. the 190's were good but did not seem to hold up like the e-class,
  12. Waits for Maxie to pee on the wheel...
  13. It has been my family back up car, before I had my 300ce, and my explorer went down, it has been my DD from time to time... It is mostly used by my little sister to go back and forth to college, it has the smaller 3.0 I-6 and is geared differently from the 2door. Love it, even though the audio is still stock from 1992, but it is still a smooth comfortable driver than can take a daily beating and is still great for long trips with it locked on 68-72 mph. Only mods to it are K&N and slightly lower than stock Bilstiens and platnum plugs. At the moment it has only 99k on it and my little sister has been driving it a great deal lately. I honestly hope to get at least 200k out of it. Snowy pic from 2 years ago.
  14. yeah, we back up to woods and marsh land, behind that is route 40 then the Chesapeake Bay
  15. good work, I need to deaden my car bad!!
  16. its hard to explain with out example, I have heard numerous Brahmas, Dave Edwards in particular being the cleanest install with one that I have listened to. I own an RL-p and love it. Personally my ears like the RL-p a little better, the Brahma could have a little more output but for daily needs it will be hard to notice. I really like both subs, but if something fails, I would far prefer the RL-p due to customer service!
  17. finally had a chance to clean it up the other day, no mods done to the car, just cleaned Maxie fluff giving her approval thats it
  18. sell the brahma, buy 2 RL-ps. WIN
  19. My buddy has a Lincoln Mark VIII with a 12w7 and I have an M5 with an RLp. Our setups are sealed vs sealed and we both think my system is as loud and has better sq. edit: forgot to add both are being powered by the same amp and getting 500w.
