  1. It has been my family back up car, before I had my 300ce, and my explorer went down, it has been my DD from time to time... It is mostly used by my little sister to go back and forth to college, it has the smaller 3.0 I-6 and is geared differently from the 2door. Love it, even though the audio is still stock from 1992, but it is still a smooth comfortable driver than can take a daily beating and is still great for long trips with it locked on 68-72 mph. Only mods to it are K&N and slightly lower than stock Bilstiens and platnum plugs. At the moment it has only 99k on it and my little sister has been driving it a great deal lately. I honestly hope to get at least 200k out of it. Snowy pic from 2 years ago.
  2. yeah, we back up to woods and marsh land, behind that is route 40 then the Chesapeake Bay
  3. good work, I need to deaden my car bad!!
  4. its hard to explain with out example, I have heard numerous Brahmas, Dave Edwards in particular being the cleanest install with one that I have listened to. I own an RL-p and love it. Personally my ears like the RL-p a little better, the Brahma could have a little more output but for daily needs it will be hard to notice. I really like both subs, but if something fails, I would far prefer the RL-p due to customer service!
  5. finally had a chance to clean it up the other day, no mods done to the car, just cleaned Maxie fluff giving her approval thats it
  6. sell the brahma, buy 2 RL-ps. WIN
  7. My buddy has a Lincoln Mark VIII with a 12w7 and I have an M5 with an RLp. Our setups are sealed vs sealed and we both think my system is as loud and has better sq. edit: forgot to add both are being powered by the same amp and getting 500w.
  8. I have not heard thenew soundstreams, but I would [robably lean towards rainbow anyway
  9. kyle is 007 and he knows nothing I know, just was not sure how people knew him
  10. welcome back, glad you came
  11. excellent choice, and great amp, just about a perfect match
  12. hum at about 1 cube per ten sealed or 1.5 cubes per ten ported, ummm
  13. honestly I do not think tha Hi Fonics is going to put out anywhere near 2k watts, like mike said above, the RL-p can take the power but it does not need it, ported with 600- 800 watts is PLENTY, yes many people run the RL-p with 1200+ watts but it really is not needed for daily
  14. PS: when you get them we need pics. to add to above, 500 watts per RL-i has seemed to be plenty on a good number of accounts from different customers, they can take the power but I believe 300 is the sweet spot,
  15. Kyle or 007 on here might have a suggestion
  16. we get some pixtures of the progress, I need some help here, only 2 of us MB guys that are into real audio, hey you know anyone else on MBWorld or MercedesShop that would come over?
  17. for sure, the RL-ps do come alive with good clean power in 2.0 cubes ported from 28-34 hz
  18. Oh, you dont know how many times i have heard that!! I like where i am now and i hope to like it here honestly, some of our best members made their home here because that place has gone down the drain
  19. the dual 12s in the right box should walk over a single 13... but might need more power, larger air space, more current available to the amplifer, just a suggestion, any questions you have post them up so we can help
  20. hey Pete, do you mind if I ask what is to the right of the port side head rest
