  1. your right, a pair of 15" L7's would be a great choice. but even they can't hang with a solo x. though they stand a better chance then some. the added cone area is a wonderful thing. it is amazing how low the solo's can drop..lol..even the 10's get silly down low. 18's FTW!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee From what I read the new XXX has a different sound. can you expand on that?? I think one of the guys from Superior Sounds said the new XXX don't have that dry "XBL2" sound to it. thats a good thing I guess, I was never fond of that "sound", hence the reason I prefer TC Sounds drivers for sound
  2. thanks, lots of stress and little sleep but it is worth it, and I have worked my work schedule so I am lifting daily again, love it
  3. Hi ya Tom, baby is doing better, we are starting to learn what he likes and visa versa, he is abnormally strong for his age (peditrician comment along with other doctors), but he is doing good, but not sleeping through the night yet, Amanda is doing ok, I feel so bad for her sometimes, I wish I could stay home and help out, but I have to be here at work to pay for the house and such, job is going well, I am learning more skills and tricks with the modeling software we use here, very tedious and exactly oppisite of AutoCAD so there is a learning curve, and it is very slow for me because I have to unlearn my AutoCAD/InterCAD/ExtraCAD habbits and tricks etc. house is doing good, we just got a new couch, its a monster sectional that is slightly too large for the living room, but we now have 3 other couches that we have to figure out where we are going to put them in the house with no room left to spare, I admit we are not using the space in the office well with that gigantic desk, and the babys room is still well laid out but we are not going to mess with it now that we have everything set up right, blah that is my blurb for the day

  5. I am curious too, yet to see them in stores around here.
  6. Don have you looked at the new PB sub line up? some sweet looking models, Ron said the 3XL is supposed to be insane
  7. u mean other than the ones included in EVERY powerbass product's box when you buy the stuff new? I GOT THESE FIRST 4 15'S OFF A BUDDY AND NEED TO REPLACE MY MEMPHIS DECALS.... undercoverpunk (a member here) can do decals, if you wanted to go a little custom
  8. welcome to SSA Don, glad you are apart of the forum, and maybe you can field some topics and questions on powerbass equipment
  9. playgirl, I fixed your name, just sign out and log back in as Playgirl,
  10. That makes sense. Can't wait to see the new RL-s. Are your plans going to be to stick with 3 higher end SQ driver lines for now?
  11. For some reason I just pictured you in some old overalls singing "...I've got a blue bird on my shoulder, its a trick, its actual.......everything is statisfactual, zippidy do da...."
  12. if you guys have not clicked the link in my sig yet, CYV has a great garage, you can list all your mods and upload pictures etc, and you dont have to pay for it, for an example click the 300ce garage link in my signature
  13. haha RL-s 18, I would need to wall off the explorer just to have enough air space, where would the amps go? hehe, but that would be the epitimy (sp?) of loud and clear
  14. Like kent and elias said above, the RL-p is an outstanding woofer for SQ, it just happens to get loud. As for SPL bias, no, look somewhere else. I am curious about the new MX, but I am not sure I like the way RE is moving towards. Kicker has been good to me in the past, and I would probalbly lean towards the new L7.
  15. I'm with ya jimbo. Still interesting reading though like the shelby isn't nice enough?? plulease...lol.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  16. Sean, if its not too late I reccomend the Yoko ES 100's, awful lot of tire for the money. It is not the super high end in grip, but if your ever out here I will take you for a ride in my 300 and show how far into a turn they will let me go (gotta love low cars with a wide track and wide rubber).
  17. Patrick and I just thought it might be a good idea to share members. CYV has a growing knowledge base with countless valuable informational topics. It is a benifit to both member bases' to share the knowledge; from fitness to sports to modeling to photography to home audio {Jim you can help on the HT} to performance to car audio. We cannot truly merge due to different software. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask either me or Patrick.
  18. we have had a few news letters, Steveo wrote a great one last month. We should put one together for this month also.
  19. welcome Boom, you should post up some pics of the work you have done, we are picture junkies here
  20. no smokie for me
  21. Theater Research is a known "white van" speaker company... http://www.crimes-of-persuasion.com/Crimes...eaker_scams.htm internet sarcasm is hard to see...
