Elias, I think the 1st amp option would be fine. But I dont know eough about the Merlins yet, but they seem pretty sweet, and if I can get a higher level of equipment for a good price I would go for it. But if there is not too much of a difference between the Merlins (pre redesign?) and the Xterminators, I would go with the X's. If they are not enough power or features then look towards the Merlins

the RL-p has a kick arse motor and can take some power, just be smart with the gain and it should hold up fine
