  1. well in a minor update, I had about 45 mins of weather in the positive Kelvin range and the 8002 and RL-p are in the 300, holy sweetness, and holy hours of sound tweaking to come, Ramos/Nick/Dave/Vlad/Jim/Slacker.. when I make it back down to court, I would love to have some more team help, wires are everywhere, and it is really hard to set the levels by my self, let alone an amp rack, considering maybe a second RL-p, the output and accuracy is excellent, but need to deaden the trunk real bad
  2. Renegadesrun, new members have two different options if they do not have the needed posts, if they see something they want to buy they can email or PM the member selling the item, that way it avoids them just posting bumps or spam in just the forsale section and getting their 25 posts real fast, as it stands, there is no way I can que posts by member groups with this software, so if I were to move to an approved threads set up in the forsale section then it would really hinder the members who are regulars or at least have been here for a while, their topic would be held up until a super mod or I was able to approve it, I appricate your ideas, but until we upgrade to the newest software I don't have as much flexability as I would sometimes like
  3. I went with the larger box of 2.0 and 27hz, it loves that box and has a quality bottom end, if you want more output tune up towards 34hz, I just tuned to a flat as possible response
  4. that would be a great write up
  5. I can only imagine how that sounds, crushing output that holds good SQ and the bottom end must be unreal, I am curious as to how smooth the roll off is on the low lows with a small cabin space to play into
  6. I would love a pair of ID8v3's, but would rather save up a few more $$ for RL-i8's
  7. werd.... then im definitely getting one
  8. I am confused, so you allow a new member to post a for sale item but dont approve it until 50 posts? I dont understand. As it stands now, the system we are using is working well, even though we do have a small handful of old members who just post in the forsale section... but they are very few and far between.
  9. at the moment I cannot take a job of that sort, I need something extremely stable and a little flexiable, baby on the way and new house = too much to risk at the moment
  10. I just double checked the permissions, and everyone except banned members should be able to see the forsale section, there was an issue when I changed the settings and added an additional member group that all brand new members fall into, making all "new members" (group) unable to post in the classified section, but that was resolved when the member logged out and logged back in, the idea is to more so deter spammers and wholesalers (unless approved by me) from using the forum as a free place to sell their items, I feel that I prefer to protect the members of the board and slow down the activity of the for sale section then open the section up to all who registers here, I have to think long term because the forum (approx 5 years old, rebuild in 2k3) is gaining more traffic and more memebers, but we are contsantly trying new ideas and adjustments..
  11. for 3kwatts, I think you can probably get away with a pair of 1000's, 3 of them would be closer to 4k watts if I am guessing right
  12. hummm, makes me think about the IS and Xterm lines some, large differences?
  13. double topic, :locked:
  14. is that why all the moved posts into the test section?
  15. the kind of port you are using might effect what direction you can go,
  16. steve I think you know what I voted for
  17. that would be a monster box
  18. if you are reffering to the black cone PowerBass Extreme XS subs here is what they reccomend... (few different ideas) #1- 3.4 Cubes per @ 36hz 800 watts rms, round port 5" x 8" or #2- 3.9 cubes per @ 42hz 800 watts rms, round port 4" x 16" or #3- 1.8 cubes per @ 34hz 800 watts rms, round port 4" x 14" If you are competiting, #2 would be the choice, if you want loud street bass #1 would be the choice, if you want to preserve SQ and slightly better bottom end and dont have much room to work with #3 is the way to go, keep in mind all of these specs are for the XS subs. I cannot help on the wiring the subs without knowing what voice coils you have.
