no problem, the RL-s has some excellent tech behind its design, and Mike is a perfectionist when it comes to his drivers, and as many can attest from the RL-s demo, it was unreal in the SQ department, but just needed goobs of power and space to get the output they desired

is it from a reputable seller? and are they new or used? warrenty? That is much lower than I paid for mine (new from dealer), you honestly do not need that much power but the RL-p loves 1200 watts from my experience, so this way you will be sending it plenty of power. if you go the Orion route, be careful with the gains. I have 3 Orion amps from the 2005 model line up, all are very nice and big power.

the level of quality and performance (not to mention customer service) is light years ahead on SI equipment, Nick at stereo integrity (and his crew) worry about the performance of the product and not just trying to sell as many as possible. I tested the MAG 12 myself, and it is VERY clean in sound and does not need gobs of power for daily driving. If you need help with box design, there are plenty of people here to help.

welcome to SSA, I am not positive but I believe that a member did a direct drop in of a MAG into an SX install and the MAGs were louder, the SX is a great street level SPL driver from all accounts, I have seen a good amount in the smaller classes as of recent do very well, but SQL the MAG is the clear choice

oh, and the RL-p's level of SQ is damn nice in my experience, I would not be working on an SQ install (possible competition) with it if it did not sound very pleasing to my ears, don't get me wrong, I would absolutly love an RL-s 15 in about a 6 cube box and a US Amps AX2000 pushing it, heck I day dream about having one in my future home theatre project, but for this situation the RL-ps are the way to go

have you actually had time with a vehicle with multiple rl-ps and 3000 wrms? and time with a vehicle with an rls and 3000 wrms? to compare? there is just something about the rls to me that is screaming sick sq at really high volumes and below 60hz? (rattleing teeth?) not multiple RL-p's, but multiple TC9s (not far off) I know how my single RL-p does on 1200, can only take an educated guess as to 3 more of them, my point is that the RL-s is not made for SPL, and his main driving force behind this install is output, yes the RL-s has the capability of major output, but still a pair of RL-s have a major disadvantage to a quad of RL-ps, not to mention the RL-s needs loads of power at high ohm loads, and the cost of a pair of RL-s' plus a pair of monster amplifers to power them and the electrical system to back them up will be somewhat higher than a quad of RL-p's and a good size D class

how are they in the reccomended large sealed box design? is there much improvement in SQ over the small box?

the good old MTX RFL has the inverted surround, I remember it seemed like people were using them in competition since they sorta dethroned the stroker, but yeah, first sub I saw quick changed in between burps, I was standing there thinking, what the crap, he put the cone on upside down, thats going to hurt the db's hehehehe

I am not going to continue to ask for details on crapcom about them, so I brought it over here. I have a soft spot in my heart for round solo barics of old. I want to know if the CVX's are the round solo's reborn. I understand they are up market from the L5's, Polecat has said they are the choice for sealed over L7s in SQ and output, and I believe at the moment he is building a install with them in his 'burb. So, anyone heard them?

very true, I as well, have to stiff a ride on my ford, on the sled however it is firm, but comfortable
