Welcome to the IHoP
Ha! Only reason for me for the 18 is for it's intended HT application. There's too many good car audio drivers out there already to necessitate needing anymore IMO. The market is a BITCH for the smaller guys. well if I were able to get the 18 it would be for HT, if not I am saving for the RL-s

that sucks big time about the JBL, what about looking into KX500.3's off ebay, I know that is an amp that can take some abuse, Polecat ran one for a long time

Welcome to the IHoP
a 4 channel, a mid power 2 channel, a 2000 watts class D, maybe a 12 and 15" version of the 18" that is in the works, think of the possibilites

Welcome to the IHoP
I would get the JBL 6 channel off SD before that, I have never had a feeling of quality from MA

Welcome to the IHoP
honestly with the level of people we have on the board here, we could seriously start a small company with our own products, Dave has already talked about making some amplifers

Welcome to the IHoP
at the very least $185, would be a little more to buy a new chat room applet, not to mention the money Mark forked for the bandwidth upgrade a few months ago was not cheap either, I can't wait till I have some extra loot and I will float the site myself and never have to worry about it

Welcome to the IHoP
actually we need to re-install a new chatroom, not to mention we need to raise money for the board up grade, we are running on old software and I can only do so much with outdated stuff,

Arthur Riley Clinton he is named after his grandfather, middle name is Amanda's maiden, much like my name except I was named after a great great great? grandfather who was one of the first Klien's (jewish) over to the US, me >>> From the Hebrew name Aharon which is most likely of unknown Egyptian origin. Other theories claim a Hebrew derivation, and suggest meanings such as "high mountain" or "enlightened" or "exalted". In the Old Testament Aaron was the older brother of Moses and the first high priest of the Israelites. my son >> The meaning of this name is unknown. It could be derived from British art "bear" combined with viros "man", or it could be related to Irish art "stone". Alternatively it could be related to an obscure Roman family name Artorius. Arthur is the name of the central character in Arthurian legend, a 6th-century king of the Britons who presided over the knights of the Round Table. He may or may not have been an actual person. "Noble strength. A bear." "I am Arthur, king of the Britons!" "Who are the Britons?" "Well, we all are...you...me...and I am your king." "Well I didn't vote for you." and they were forced to eat sir robin's minstrels...and there was much rejoicing. haha jim you crack me up, rotflmao

RL-i 8's or 10's?
well knowing mike it would still be an SQ woofer, just something that has maybe 300watt rms, like a Crystal CMP at RE RE prices

Welcome to the IHoP
thanx M5, we will have a decent amount of instant equity in the house, area comps are showing close to $16k in the house before the first payment, not to mention the demand for a house in this little white collar town is going to jump bigtime in a year or so when the army base will add close to 25,000 jobs, so long story short, even though it does not have the garage (the only thing I wanted in a new house) it is a very safe area, espically with baby Arthur on the way, and Amanda, not to mention it is very close to both of our jobs (a luxury I have never had), and because of the commute the car insurance will fall too, so I am seeing this as a good financial move for the two of us, my mother is thinking of moving out of the small mansion I grew up in, but it is paid off and I would not sell it, so I could own two houses here shortly, ahh enough rambeling on, so what about 70k by 2006?

cool
what equipment are you looking for?

RL-i 8's or 10's?
side tangent: Mike have you thought about starting a high volume entry level line? I only ask because the RL-i is a very nice sub and is in no way entry level, and the RL-p runs with the best SQ(l) subs in the biz, and the RL-s is like you said a while different beast, so why not something in the ~$100 price point??? something to go against the Kicker CVR's, RE RE's, IA 187's, or the world etc
