  1. I would be curious to hear it in IB, due to the low Qts, it specs out as not being a good IB driver, but you never know...
  2. you can find better than the tantrums for the same
  3. Mike do you have the Leap graphs for the RL-p like you have on the website for the RL-i? I looked for them in the forum but I might have missed them.. just wanted to see what it looked like with the QTS of this driver, since the specs lends it much more to ported I am curious of the different response levels of the 3 different ported and 3 different sealed, if you dont have it on hand no biggie, just was curious, and wanted to maybe try different enclosures, and if so maybe push it to a large sealed enclosure to test it out, (just so you know I am hating myself for not being able to test out the RL-s)
  4. I remember that sub, you got a great sub for one heck of a good price
  5. I believe that they are only reccomended to 2ohm stereo, good amp IMO, but why not from an US Amps IS?
  6. how did I miss this topic? anyway, Steve I have used mostly Hella in the past, but I put very nice PIAA's on the sled and I am very happy with them, they are a little on the $$$ side, but found them online for a little less
  7. as long as he has the juice to power them suckers
  8. thats why I was sorta thinking we should wait till after the new year, and if you come up you need to come over while your near
  9. you could find someone on SIN and ECA maybe even TP
  10. it is pretty tempting, I just can see me fitting an 18 into my trunk of my sled, and like nick I have a few drivers laying around at the moment, but never owned an 18", humm SS NW1-2???? hahaha
  11. not going to ask how much that is worth, another reason I am staying out of street B
  12. do I smell MAGs and a wall ?
  13. if everything is ok with Dave, we could plan a second meet because there are a bunch of things we never got to or did not finish, we might have to push it back to after the new year due to holiday commitments.. such as: - did not get to hear the hyndai - Ramos is in the middle of my door pods at the moment and need power - did not get to Jims van - did not put a wall in the Escape sooooo whos in?
  14. that PG should be putting out 700 approx
  15. Mark you just got the STS, and the screen just went in it too, you go through cars faster than some people go through a jar of peanut butter
  16. as it stands, how much volume to you guess the mids have per pod?
  17. if you want to stay with kicker, and do not want to unload a ton of money to beef up the electrical system and get the big wattage amplifers, look at the L7, they can get more than loud enough for most needs, and they do not require the power of the SOLOX, no they will not score as well on the SPL meter as the SOLOX but you have not shown interest in competing, also look into the PowerBass XS subs, decently priced with tremendous output you have to consider a few things, wattage needed, cone surface advantage and usable space for the box if you want to beat what your friends have... (keeping in mind the EVO does not have a large trunk something along the lines of 2 12's might be a good place to start) if you want to spend a few more dollars, talk to Nick Lemons with Stereo Integrity, the MAG D2 has the ability to get very loud in the right enclosure with enough power and still keep its composure with sound quality {both powerbass and stereoIntegrity have forums on here} I hope that helps a little..
  18. well the RL-p do fall in the price range, and it is a nice mix of the SX and SE, because of its very nice SQ levels (in the right box of course) and it can have some serious output for a non-SPL driver, I have tested mine in my explorer and my single 12 RL-p with 1200+ watts running to it in a ported 2.0 cube 27hz box sounded very nice with some roof shaking output not to mention SoundSplinter has excellent service
  19. holy crap, they look better than I had imagined, damn and you worked the map pocket and foot flood light back into the pod too, that is awesome, flat out amazing work, as for power, an Orion 8004 will power both sets, as to how it will power them I have not decided, I could go active so I can back the tweets down a little or just run each individual component off each of the 4 channels, once again crazy good work!!!!
  20. that is what I am going to have to do
  21. kickin has a ton of experience with the SoloX 12's, ok but we need to ask some questions first before you jump into buying two very expensive subs... 1. are you planning to compete? 2. do you understand the amount of wattage needed to push them? 3. do you want to lose most of your trunk from the box?
