Good god, mo' powah = tons mo' betta Can't believe how articulate this sub is...the increase in power really woke it up in that sense. Became a fair bit louder too...but it's the accuracy that impresses me. I'll admit that when I had 300w on it I felt it should have been more "accurate" from what I remembered from the first gens (and these are supposed to be much better than those)...but apparently that problem is easy to solve...more power...

I believe it was actually denim who brought up the deformation comment (at any rate, it surely wasn't me). Anytime an aluminum cone is moving you should not touch it, as the force of impact could dent it. However, if a warm cone is at rest, there should not be any problems in touching it. If you're really juicin' the driver, the cone can almost be too hot to touch, but it still maintains its structural integrity just fine so long as you aren't beating the poor thing. my bad, i thought i read that you said that it was me, because some jerk at a show a few years ago reached in and touched my cones while the system was on

if you need something 1ohm stable that will push them with a decent amount of power the US Amps Merlin MD1 or AX 1000DE would be more than enough power or Orion 600D could handle the load
