  1. RL-p owners has always praised its ability to hit the deep notes with ease, and if you step up to the 15 you will gain greater output
  2. if you go with a pair of 12" RL-p D4s, and you want the most output, port them at 2.0 cubes per sub, and tune in the 34Hz range, that is one of the sweet spots for the RL-p, as squeak said the RL-s needs a lot of space and a great deal of power, if money is a major factor, you can find a amplifer for the 2 RL-ps cheaper than an amplifer for one RL-s, in addition the 2 12's have the instant cone advantage over a single RL-s 12, so for you I would vote a pair of the new RL-ps and an amplifer along the lines of the Nine.1 or Incriminator 20.1 or Orion 1200D, or kicker KX 1200 or RF T1001 or US AMPS AX1000 or the PowerBass XA 1500
  3. oh sorry that might have come out wrong, all of the amplifers listed so far are tops in the build quality, but for SQ I think the Minilith might be the best, but honestly, the difference in SQ is probably not going to be heard, I know the new RF Powers are flat out awesome, seriously underratted with really beefy internals, all of the amplifers listed will get it done, I have seen the RF spec out in the 1400 watt range, you do not need that much power to get the most out of the MAG for daily needs, trust me, so its up to you as to how much you want to spend, and if your electrical system can take the current draw
  4. the RF or Orion, would be my high power choice, but the quality and that you can get Burr Brown on the ZED Minilith, and the fact that I have seen what the MAG can do with 400, and the minilith is atleast 200+ more watts than what I was dealing with
  5. the RL-p will hit the low lows for sure, ask many of the owners here, also how much are you looking to spend on an amplifer and how hard to you want to push the RL-p? the RL-s requires a lot of power at @ 3.5 - 4 ohms, I believe something in the 1200-1500 range
  6. very nice work, if you were closer and I had the money I would have to do my car door pods
  7. you could PM HCCAfan about an Orion 1200
  8. squeak, those are some great ideas, I love the baby A class sub amp
  9. first off welcome to the site, a single RL-p 12, if put in a well made box, will hit the low end very nice, Mike from soundsplinter offers discounts for multiple drivers, I would not put the RL-p in a bandpass, I think you will lose some of its excellent SQ, if you want more info, feel free to post in the Soundsplinter section also
  10. thanks mike to clearing it up for me
  11. well give us your limitations, money wise and features wise and we can help you find the right amp
  12. Hi devin, I am glad you came over to SSA< this is a great place, and bring some friends or customers if you want, welcome to ssa
  13. just as the title says, who all is going, I might be able to make a trip out, not sure though
  14. Just think of long drives as a privilage. Expecially in that nice MB of yours well who all is going to be there, maybe I could talk Amanda into taking a road trip I wont be there. I was going to tyr to make drags but couldnt. USACi is the only one I am going to make. Nick, Shane (HCCA), Squeek, and a few others are going to drag. we need to start a new topic in the Competition forum to see who is all going
  15. Just think of long drives as a privilage. Expecially in that nice MB of yours well who all is going to be there, maybe I could talk Amanda into taking a road trip
  16. damn I did not notice that
  17. your going to make me drive that far? anyway does this mean I have to make a blog?
  18. no i havent, but i will now. that is if you want serious power, it will get the D2 to the limits, but if you just need for daily and want awesome SQ, the ZED Audio Minilith will push it plenty
  19. I'll put the RL-i page up once the full inventory of 8's and 10's are in stock. going point, Kyle glad your on here, I am sure there are going to be plenty of questions here for you too
  20. dave, if you are going to only make a few amps, I would say go for an all out SQ loves front stage amplifer, but then again with making so few won't that keep the costs high?
  21. should I invite him to my wedding?
  22. yeah, but how many people are going to have that level of power at that ohm load, flakko should start selling a bunch of AX2000s to keep up with the potential of this sub, I wish I could strap a pair of Orion 2500D's to a triplet of these RLs 12's, the amps would see somewhere around .875 ohm load, not accounting for the box impedance, and with the sheer size of the box needed for them that application would need 2 more amps
  23. I think that is awesome news, I did not want to tell you before, but I think the lack of D2's were hurting your sales figures, so can I ask, are the RL-i going to remain only D4, and the RL-p will be in the D2 and D4, and the RL-s will stay S3.5? just wanted to clarify
