you really dont need 1200 watts for the sub, but you seem to have a ton of space so you could make a larger box and get more out of less wattage

there is the new Digital Audio Control, I have not tried it yet

Screw the BLA. Just get amps that accept balanced inputs I dont think my Orions do

sounds nutty, would be interested to hear how it was when you push it harder
