Kicker Amplifer Dampening Factor Figures
DAMPING FACTOR: the higher the DF the better, it will help pervent hangover. hangover is when the subs cone moves up and comes back down but the cone will vibrate tell it reaches full rest. (not good for SQ) this can make the sound of the sub sound booming. so anything around 150 is good.

12w6v2 or 12 rl-p
Mikes customer service is enough for me to choose the RL-p over the JL, since the subs are close in performance but I am assuming the RL-p is much better priced
-
2 RL-p 12"box
hey kent, do you feel I should change my port and tune to 34 before the RL-p gets here? if so how much should I adjust?
-
What do yall think on my RL-p?
Smilie face edition

PR12D
can I ask, do you feel the PB XS's are able to do the huge numbers the Atomic APX's can? and can I ask what makes the older XS's better ( a few people have mentioned that)
-
Mags and SPL
Kent I am super competitive also, but there are a few cases when I know I need to realize my standing and accept it and learn from it
-
Single Sub solution for Integra
since I don't know exactly the sound you are going for I will through out some radom ideas; the Mag should love that 1500, so would the RL-p, if your careful with it an Orion H2 could fill the void also (small box), a Crystal COMPx2 would laugh at that power, I have not heard personally but would be willing to give the Avalanche a chance with that amp, and I have heard a few great things about Incriminator and I know that the DP's can take that amp

welcome to the site, we love pictures of installs- THE King has entered the Building!
ygpm- Official Rl-p D2 Group Buy Thread
Mike how many D2's do you have left?- RL-P and my LI
kay i talked to mike and he told me to tune it to 31-32 hz but okay! then disregard my post, Mike is teh last word on these subs, so listen to him, I was just mentioning 28 because that is what I built to from past info- THE King has entered the Building!
Randy you back for real? any word from the new PB guy?- 2 RL-p 12"box
- What do you think?
look at it this way, if you want a daily set up that is more SPL than SQ, L7's, if you want a daily set up that is more SQ than SPL RL-p's are the answer, I like the L7s but everyone has them- RL-P and my LI
you could tune to 28hz, that would be what mike reccomends- Mags and SPL
extreme 1-2??? got a link to something that explains the different classes. I have not been to a comp in a couple of years. I did however take 2nd in 601+ Pro one time with my first attempt.(sql). but I have not had my new car comp ready yet. This lady totaled my old maxima which had a completely custom built trunk with plexi amp rack and three 12w3s. it was kick ass, along with MB Quarts Qs up front and refs in the back. I am talking about a different assocation than you are, I am reffering to dbDrag, head over to http://www.termpro.com and got to dbDrag and there is a class Matrix that explains everything, I would kill to run a Street C or B with the MAGs after testing the demo out i'm not trying to start anything, especially since i haven't played with any mag yet, let alone the new one, but whilest there isn't a doubt you'll be competitive in your area...u'll likely get stomped in either of those classes running anything round...though with the 'plorer, u have the right vehicle. just a bit of a heads up...remember, i'm friends with the current street a world champ (now in street B) and a former street c world champ (who placed fourth last year with a blown sub, and didn't realize it. and now he's in an explorer). so it's not like i'm talking outa my ass or anything. oh and the street b guy has already done a 159+ in testing on the tl with his usaci setup and is creeping up on a 157 with his dbdrag setup..he did a 154 just playing around with one amp with his dbdrag stuff and the box was falling apart..literally just a h/u aarron..that's all.. man, i just rambled on and almost hijacked this thing... SORRY! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Kent no stress, I know what you are saying, and I would not be building to win finals, this is DBdrag we are talking about and I don't have the monitary backing to win all out for dbDrag, but if I would try to build I would try to build to be in the pack or competitve, the MAGs would be fun to compete with and still be able to listen to them on the drive home, there is too many top end Street guys in this area to me to even think about going to finals anytime soon, just build for fun and snag a trophy or nine for fun and learn more- Impedance Rise
with the increased size and higher tuning you should gain some, good luck- My active setup...
any ideas as to what crossover your going to use now?- So I switched today...
I was watching CNN and the membership number for Sirius are going up faster than XM, even though XM has a larger hold on the market- yo yo check it
welcome bacon- The Stereo Integrity Cobra.
shame you did not get to play with the Quarts - what's up
