SoundSplinter LMT sub
the LMT in the OC, hey Im down with OPP, :datsphatyo: but seriously, having the LMT at the west coast meet would be awesome, it could be a first, almost like an invite only premier for a sub, we could use it also as a publicity pull for the Team too, "TeamSSAudio.com meet and LMT debut!", someone get on it STAT!

help me out with the 12" rl-p
I personalyl don't think the HiFonics is needed, more than enough power, if I had the loot I would put a SX 900.2 on mine, or maybe a Reference 750, or Orion 8002 all three more than enough power with out risking the integrity of the sub

What do you think?
ok hold the phone, chinny, I know your getting a lot of different responces and ideas, listen to Mike, you don't need that much power on them and to be honest your really not going to hear that much of a difference under normal daily listening levels, unless you enjoy driving around with your roof rippiling, if you want to stay Orion, and woudl prefer to go through HCCAfan, great seller, I have picked up a lot of equipment through him, then look at the Orion 1200D, the 1200D will do close to 1400 watts as long as your feeding it clean power, fairly efficent amp that has great potential if nto look at the KX 1200.1 from kicker, another excellent choice for your possible set up, either way they are going to both provide more than enough power for your needs, when you get up much farther than that (power wise) you really are only going to notice a difference on the meter, Cadence A7HC is also a very capable amp for your application, small footprint too, but anyway I would choose the Orion first, through HCCAfan it is hard to beat for quality power and features, oh yeah a warrenty too

Kicker solo x
the few I have been around, move a ton of air, and in a violent manner, I have not heard one in a solid daily install, but for daily I feel the L7 is more than enough, on a side note, recently Grand Master on SD wrote that most of the L7 line was built to be optimized in a sealed enclosure, can anyone confirm that?

MTX 10" Slot port
its a box warbleed was kind enough to help me design a few years ago, I checked the specs and I can still build it and use my old MTX's in it if I do it right

T/S Parameters explained
I have to port the RL-p, but the RL-i 8 could go ported or sealed with great success

MTX 10" Slot port
You'd probably want to go with about 1cf per driver tuned around 35hz. I'll figure the box up as common chamber. The port is a 2x12 slot, 16 inches long. This occupies about 0.25cf counting the MDF used for one of the port walls (we'll have the port against one side of the box, and between the top and bottom, so only one port wall has to be constructed). So, we're going to want a total of about 2.5cf before woofer and port displacement. Our external dimensions will be 13.5H x 33W x 19.5D. So internally, the dimensions for the woofer are 12H x 28W x 18D. This is because the port and port wall take up 3.5" on one side. On the other side we have the other wall of the box. We're assuming 3/4" MDF. To make the box, you would want the following pieces of wood: TOP and BOTTOM: 33 x 18" (so 2 pieces like this) SIDE 1: (non port side) 12 x 18 (mounted between front and rear baffle) SIDE 2: (port side) 12 x 18.75 (slightly longer because this side will act as other side of port wall, and must be flush with front baffle, but still in front of rear baffle) FRONT: 29.5 x 12 (sits in front of sides and between the top and bottom, port goes next to it) REAR: 33 x 13.5 (Just as high and wide as the box, cannot see any other piece but the rear from the rear view) PORT: 15.25 x 12 (Sits BEHIND the edge of front baffle, so they are flush and to make total length 16")
