  1. the TL is very nice, some amazing drive train and a very smooth engine for sure, but I prefer the MB over it, but thats me the new GS is out, pretty sexy car, but I have not driven it yet, I am just focusing on something that is going to be able to get through the crappy weather that has great reliability, and is proven while having decent milage the X-type is a capable car for sure, but I am not sure it will be enough for you on the long hauls across the empty highways, but I am not too sure about the Saab's yet, not sure really how much GM has really helped them out with design of the existing models before the merger
  2. want me to post something on the Impala forum? i'll take that as a yes... do you have a prewritten message or something or any specifics you want me to say? just suggest a that there is a quality Audio/Computer forum out there with some of the most knowledgable moderators
  3. want me to post something on the Impala forum?
  4. steve I vote for the E320 with the 4Matic, reliability, decent milage, good power, safe sled, the E350 is coming out soon!! I am hesitant about Audi's so many friends have had reliabilty issues recently, also I am not sure if the V8 5 series is going to be the best option when you have long streches, but a 530i would be a sweet rig with the manual if your interested take a look back at the Volvo S40 article I did, I really like that car, the milage is good the space is sweet, and the performance is nice, with the manual and AWD it should fit your needs
  5. you can still get tight puchy bass from a ported box, but if you have never liked a ported sound before maybe you should run sealed

  7. to add to the Kicker and MTX that mrray posted, the Orion 600D is a very worthy addition, all three will do over 600 watts easy and have plenty of power for the RL-p
  8. I want to get more members over here, we need more traffic
  9. magically gone, just dont abuse it
  10. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...ssPageName=WDVW I would love to buy them but I dont have the money right now
  11. wondering if anyone else is going to do SLAP this year, I am not sure because there are not that many shows near me, and I am tight on money to build for competition
  12. welcome to SSA, and teh new sub will no longer carry the name "Magnum", but it will probably only come in a dual 2 ohm configuration, from what I understand
  13. Nick can you explain? and congrats Tom on USC, and Kent if we hit 20 today that would mean 50% of the board posts are here in the IHOP
  14. good to have you here
  15. 5 years in a row
  16. there is a remote chance you might have a bad exhaust manifold gasket, I have had that problem in the past and it had that sound of a Valve tap or mis-aligned rockers, and it was just that the pressure was off and the gases were escaping out the hole or leak in the gasket, very common on American made vehicles with cheap cork gaskets
  17. Steve I have a few bag loads of Mardi Gras beads from past trips to New Orleans, if you want some I can give you them no problem, just have to locate them in the house first
  18. humm for amps with no budget, I would go BRAX competition, or limited edition Sinfoni, or maybe even Have Dave Edwards build me something wild with Top shelf components on a hand made board
  19. I looked at the bidding history and it seems ok, it was a few different people that bidd up the price
  20. I am sorry, I messed up, you have dual 4 ohms, so that means you need an amp that will do power at 4 or 1 ohms mono, sorry about that
  21. brandon, what amp is that?
  22. I just sold those 2 Soundstream Reference series amps... I bought soup. The Hammer
