I love the older Rockford Amps, not the rond ones, but the semitriangle ones like this wonderful 800a4 the very first amp I installed in a show system: but I really love Zapco, and US amps for all they are worth, but probably my favorite over all is the Orion HCCA 250, first major amp I had my hands on, well any old school Orions such as this 250: -

what about running a nice 10 or a very nice 8", that budget is really tight but maybe check out the Image Dynamics ID10 v3, SD has it for 110 shipped or check out the older Kicker XPLs they are the round predecessor to the L5, you can find them mad cheap right now

not sure, its the old one from our old demo car at Salisbury Sound and Speed, I am probably going to sell it to a friend and he will fix it, I am happy with the eclipse for now, it puts out plenty of volts and is very clean and works fine
