  1. It keeps growing. There is a monument in downtown Baltimore. Neil might know more about it as he has mentioned it in passing a while ago.
  2. If need be, email nick.
  3. It is the hear nothing, then TADA, approach.
  4. What Mike and chop are saying sounds great to me. I would say, have some sort of rotation set up, where during the meets, a member of the club has the rest of the club pitch in and help work on that members particular install. That way, each person can reach their goals with the help of friends and in a democratic way. If you guys get a big enough group, we can put up a sub forum if you like.
  5. We are all showing signs of the addiction, errr I mean, passion for car audio.
  6. I started putting them in here because it seemed like they got more noticed and more posts.
  7. Stephen mentioned it, but we did not have time to talk much about it. I think he is worried about it actually selling well or not.
  8. Yeah I know. The chat room goes through phases it seems. For a couple of months, it gets used a bunch, then slowly people forget its there, then back again. If we could embed it inside a page on here, that would be very cool.
  9. George Kostanza pioneered this theory. Now you just need the portable TV in bed.
  10. there are a ton of way hot chicks here, but talking to them is like attempting to converse with a sandwich My 3 year old talks to his PBJ during lunch sometimes.
  11. And thank you guys for sending in the balance quickly, it makes a difference for turn around.
  12. I got your PM, I am on a different machine and will send your email to the different email soon. Thanks.
  13. They are building them as fast as they can. The last few times I have been on the phone with Stephen, he has been building Leviathans while we speak.
  14. Images are not loading for me.
  15. Snobs, yuppies, and preps go to UT I did not know those adjectives could be used in Texas.
  16. If this is the system listed in your sig, how about upgrading your front stage first.
  17. Just sent out all the emails for the balance. Hopefully we can get all the money caught up fast so they can get shipped out soon.
  18. i paid 1000 bucks for my headunit its a clarion touch screen with bluetooth and everything, i would rather get the matrx, another thing is on the audio control site is has a diagram saying what you should buy for maximum spl set-up, and it goes epicenter, eqx, matrix, that wouldnt b a good set-up , im new to spl, im juts starting to get the hang of it a lil but this is my first time ever looking at this type of equipment You don't need the Epicenter, we have established that, unless you listen to a lot of old tapes or 8-tracks. And wow, $1k an only 2 volts........ Anyway, if your head unit has no crossovers or EQ and your amplifiers have no crossovers, then the EQX is a possibility. The Matrix is a nice unit, but you have to find out if your amps will accept nearly 8 volts of signal. I am not at all saying their products are not good, just you have to understand they want people to buy as much of their product as possible. We could do the same thing and tell people they must buy 4 SSA Xcon 18's for maximum SPL, totally disregarding what all they have in their system or their actual needs.
  19. Because I already have a box 'close' to the recommended.. just tuned a bit high.. I will be building a new box though with the ports pointing upward to fire into the rear deck, but will use the current box for now. The original question about the icons vs. the sa-12's was more about the power handling. I know the sa-12's can handle the power from the saz 1500d.. but is it too much for daily? I'm pretty sure overpowering the sa-12's with the gains down would sound better than underpowering the icons.. I understand it's more of the box design that matters for SPL or SQ and I also understand these are both SQ-based speakers, but both have the ability to go low/loud. I've heard tons of great things about the Icons, and most are going up to the Xcons because they sound incredible... however, I haven't heard much about the SA-12's. It seems like most people are doing massive 4-12-16 sub setups, but haven't seen any reviews on a dual subs other than one SQ setup. What? There is no such thing as under powering. I know Jacob makes a great product and the SA's are a great choice, just trying to understand the reasoning on choosing one driver over the other.
  20. It might be better suited to upgrade the head unit first.
