  1. so you complain about me 'double posting' but wont help at all, nice... He is a moderator, he is doing is job, and he is not complaining. Anyway, to the topic at hand, if this is for a daily installation, I personally don't feel the SoloX should be in the conversation. The BTL is quite a driver, read up on the options and figure out which ones are best for you and your install.
  2. Did you check out the topic here about the options?
  3. Nice choice on sub woofer. Any chance you can build the box? Just mention it as most pre-fabs are 5/8" thick, and you can build one with 3/4" yourself. There are a few custom box builders on this site.
  4. Just because the driver is ratted at 300 does not mean it needs 300 watts. The PG RSD 10" on Amazon is a good idea, the old Polk Momo is on there too.
  5. With out knowing much from your posts, it is hard to choose. Personally I would lean towards the Havoc, but that is me. We need to know more about you and your system. Either way you will get a great product with great customer service.

back. If you want, I might be able to merge your old account into this one.
  7. Yes, it is still available.
  8. Sean, that looks great.
  9. He was a terrible person, and the government will likely be better off with him not there. No offense as to the reason for his departure. But I'm tired of the media playing him up like some hero when he did do all those bad things outlined in your post. Stop watching MSNBC.
  10. Yes, this gives the people holding out until others have bought them a little time.
  11. This just landed in our inbox: ----------------------------------------------------------------- Finally we had our shipment of parts released from customs. They arrive today. It takes us a few days to begin the actual production. We shall have amplifiers coming off the line later this week. Since each amplifier is hand built and tested we will not ramp up production quantities significantly. We shall keep all appraised on our progress. Those who have pre paid for their product will receive it first. Yours truly, Stephen Mantz
  12. Keep in mind, with an amplifier like the new SAE-1200D, it is easily capable of 1500 watts, so the choices with a single 750 - 1000watt rms drivers are going to need conservative use of the gain. I would love it if you picked the Dcon's, but that is just too much power if you are not careful. So the 187's or SSD's, orBL idea's are front runners for me based off gathered you want from your 1st post. Chances are the single BL will be the best choice to go with.
  13. im leaning towards the bl's actually. only problem is i can get a used 9515 for $400. if i get bl's im gonna spend around twice that much for 2 12's....... Think also about recone costs, if you are going to be pushing these drivers to their limits. Personally I would vote the BL's as a better daily driver choice anyway.
  14. so basically fi is the way to go? but then again....ssa forums are loaded with fi users and supporters. i bet if i went to soundpressure forums they would all say the 9500 ha. does anyone here have experience with the 9500? Actually no, SP is all about DD, where SSA has a wide array of brands here, so there is no distorted bias (other then mine ).
  15. I have not used that Eclipse, but I am naturally drawn to their HU's due to past experiences with the likes of 55430, 5440, and 8053. But I did have my PRS880 installed for a little while and loved it. Quite a head unit, and once I got used to the controls, it was very nice.

Are you asking about co-axial speakers, components, or just mid-bass'?
  17. <<--- Aaron I will PM you with USPS shipping price.
  18. It is so far from a one word answer it is not funny. There are way too many unknowns to give an exact answer. Both are high output woofers, but so much is dependant on the enclosure. The pair of 15's should naturally by louder due to cone surface, but there are too many other factors to know for sure. At SSA we care about the details and not mindless inexperienced answers. So let's work on more info to help going in the right direction. In the end the answer will not be known until tested in your install.
