  1. Welcome to SSA, love the classic soundstream amp.
  2. Welcome to SSA, the International source for high end car audio info.
  3. Welcome to SSA. We are really growing internationally.
  4. Welcome to SSA!! One of the SSA Staff is close to you.
  5. Nice SPL sub. As for power, start with it's rms and slowly work up from there.
  6. I have to show my wife this one.
  7. I still love Graphite! It is a keeper as long as we are on the current version of the software. graphite FTMFW. It also looks similar to an antiquated system I still use at work. Makes for good ninja posting in teh office. When doing any CAD work or UNIX stuffs, I resort to dark skins on all forums. Heck, even gmail has a "terminal" skin for it.
  8. And it's back. Invision is kick butt in terms of service.
  9. It is a post/sig divider, the stone skin has the same thing but it is more defined.
  10. No worries, welcome to the site. SSA, as a collective, really tries to work together so everyone can learn along the way, instead of just give knee-jerk post responses that don't really contribute to the forum or help the original poster asking the question like you will find on other forums. Also, not sure if I missed it or not, but did you budget in for any front stage? (front speakers and amplifier?) Asking because, you can get a nice strong mono block amp and a sweet sub (like the Icon nice plug), but they will easily over power the rest of the system with little effort, so any semblance of sound quality will be punted out the window. If you could budget in a nice 2 channel and a pair of components for the front, or separate mids and tweets and a small 4 channel, added to the sub and amp for the rear, you would see a sizable performance increase if installed correctly. Also, what head unit do you have? (or did I miss that)
  11. Honestly, it is a win win, as the 187's and dcon's are in the top of the market in the 300 watt segment. The 12's have the cone advantage, and the 10's have the ported peak freq advantage. In the end, both drivers are going to give great results, but if you are worried about peak output, you might be looking at the wrong drivers as both are meant for great over all performance off of mid-level power.
  12. With that amp, of the sub's listed, the SSD, IXL, Lethal Injection, or RSDc would be the one's I would look at. All are proven performers, all can function well in a properly built sealed box in the range of 40-50 litres or 1.4-1.7 cubes (to stay on the small side due to car size and space available) . Plus all are made by great companies.
  13. The T1000 is plenty, but if you have the current to support and the budget, go for the larger 1500.
  14. Gmok, I am sure if you had the topic here instead of linked to another site, it would get more focused attention.
  15. I think, as you can see by the array of responses so far, you have made a topic comparing two sub woofers of different design and goals. One driver being an SPL biased high output daily driver, the other being a sound quality biased high output daily driver. I am biased towards the Xcon, but I think it is obvious why. But with out giving any indication what your goals are, we cannot really help. Sure I would love it if you got the Xcon's, they have been a big hit in their short time in the market place, but we don't know what your after or any details about your install.
  16. Something other sites cannot really match.
  17. oh ok just wanted to let you know Thanks.
  18. It is not down, looks like a bug in the new software.
  19. Mine changed automatically unless someone else logged in as me I am assuming Mark adjusted the defaults last night.
  20. I still love Graphite! It is a keeper as long as we are on the current version of the software.
  21. All the more reason to grab a protein shake. Can't help on the rest, but man, would love to know where I could get a house for the prce of a set of wheels.
  22. Yeah, I dig it, as I prefer darker forums with lighter text. Much better then light forums with dark text when reading so many of them.
  23. If you have not seen it yet, check out the skin Mark just did for SSA. It is called Bloodshot, you can select it from the bottom left drop down menu at the bottom of the forum screen. Again, another reason why SSA is unmatched in constantly improving and working towards an even better site.
