Recorded music with true low octaves, is where the music extends down very close to the lower limits of the human ear. Where as most if not all popular music, especially rap or other "loud" music does not extend that far down. It would be great fun to have a very simple set up with a single long through, low Fs, large cone driver for sub duty, in a very large sealed enclosure play real reference music. Then people could get some experience with the real lowest of low octaves. Not hip/hop played on a higher Fs driver in a ported box tuned in the high 30's to low 40's.

Well, do you ever go shooting, and you feel you have a well made and set up weapon, but when you get to the range 47 other people are there and there is only one target set up, and for some unknown reason the target is stupid far away? I am trying both the spray gun approach (Contra) and the single shot sniper rifle approach all at the same time. Thats how its going. Pondering career change.

If I were you (and many of the other long time SSA members), I would forget the rear speakers, and run a pair of tweets and a pair of mids active off the Sundown 100.4. It is an excellent amplifier to do so and you have much more tuning capability going active, not to mention higher value potential.

There is a guy on www.phoenixphorum.com that just made and fixed a bunch of Bass Cube remotes. He might be a good source to talk to, if not ask to repair it.

I believe we have had nearly identical topics on here a few times.

You should never max the gain on any amplifier regardless of the driver. The BL can be safely used with the SAZ-1500D if you are smart with gains and don't push the amp into clipping. The 1500D's have been tested show upwards of 1700 watts on a stout electrical system.
