Here is the first tests. This was with 24 volts AC. I am just breaking them in and didn't push then too hard. Most of the noise is because I have the vent partially covered up. Some of it is mechanical noise. Oh yeah, this was at 20 Hz. I got them at dealer cost which was a tad under $100. The MSRp is only $200 on them. Grrr, won't let me post the MOV file. Here is a pic though where you can sort of see the dB logo raised up. This is not full excursion. If anyone wants a 3.5 meg video just let me know.

For SQ I try to be right around 20-25% of the overall cone area. That usually takes care of all the worries of port noise. So in this case I would use roughly 25-30 sq inches give or take. Here is a site that helps a little bit also. http://www.carstereo.com/help2/Articles.cfm?id=31

This weekend they will be tested with only 200 RMS each. I have heard that they can do quite well with little power. Guess I will find that out:)

Here are my babies fr the end of the 04 to 05 season. They are a pair of dB Drive Platinum 10's that are dual 2 ohm. Should be well with about 2k of power of each one. They seemed great for the price and build quality looks decent. Having the box made as we speak. Will get to do some tests with a little power on my Linear X this Saturday (my MECA setup) and get some tests done at the Hurricane Relief show on Sunday (hopefully) with the Audio Control 190. Not going to put the Concepts to the subs yet because of my stock electrical system. I will update everyone when I get some numbers. Anyone have any experience with the dB Drive Platinum's?

Not sure why it is that day, but the guy putting it on was concerned about that. I think it is because it is because it is one of the last days to have a show count for the 2004 season. Not possitive though. Hopefully I will be there, but it depends if the wife can get off work or not.

Looks like it has been bumped up a few weeks. October 24th is when she will roar again. This show will qualify me for IASCA Finals. YEAH. She won't be complete, but enough along to compete. Pick up my subs and box this coming Saturday and she will be ready to go.

The car never made it there. He lost the alternator just before he was getting ready to go.

This is the next owners install. His name was Stephen Matthews. He is Regal 1975 on the forums. He did upper 150's I believe with this at the first SLAP championships.

I just talked with the guy tonight. His name is Kenny Hester. He is on his way to SLAP Finals. I don't have any pics of my setup with the Talon, but my highest was a 148.5 in DB Drag in 2000 with a pair of Armageddon 15's. Here is what it used to look like though. Wonder what the car looks like now. Supposedly he has fixed it up a bit.

Just found out my old Eagle Talon holds the record in Stock 2 class in IASCA. Hmmm, How come I couldn't do that with the car? LOL. After several owners and some modificatins it is now loud!

Yeah, they were ownder by Terry Miler and Stan Frazier. Terry is from Macon, GA and Stan was from Augusta, GA. I believe the org. was sold and they new owner does live in Hagerstown.

I am in Atlanta. The 1st SLAP finals was here at HiFi Buys Ampitheater. I got 4th in stock 2. @nd was at the Gwinnet center. I was unable to attend that one. And the 3rd (this years) is in Hagerstown. I am planning on being a SLAP member again this year since most of the shows around here are SLAP.

Would like to but can't. Hopefully next year. If it was here in town like it used to be then I would be there!
