That is why the post of the non-vented magnet. He just wanted to see a pic of the non-vented variety. And as for the purpose, yes, it is to help cooling. This CSX was made for burps only, so thus, cooling is not necessary.

Had m bud Regal1975 stop over yesterday and try out the Linear X. He has 2 Kicker 10" L7's with 1100 RMS on each one. He has them in a small Nissan truck with the rear glass removed and the subs right there. 2 subs on the pass side and the port on the right. Ended up doing a 144.7 on the dash. All he could say was Evil X

Yeah, we count both sides. Sounds more impressive:) I didn't see a damn thing. Oh well, maybe next time. That is a big ellk. I bet they had trouble getting it out of there. Try that without the quad!

LOL, yeah, that was Davis' old truck. Very sweet truck with Kicker amps, Pioneer subs, Diamond components, and Eclipse for the source.

On the expensive note, anyone seen the RE subs with the 8" or so of Xmax, the 24" mounting depth, and the cost of 9k? I believe they came in an 18" of 24". I personally have not seen them, but wondering if they were actually made.

I must say that is a very sweet piece of equipment. Had a lot of wire to hide eh? LOL

But of course everyone is thinking it, and of course I am saying it:) What is the price on the bad boy. Last time I knew it was 5k and he wouldn't ship it anywhere, you had topick it up. Brings to mind another question. How much does that thing weigh?

That is a great idea. I like building boxes but unfortunatelt do not have the tools to cut wood. I know, I should get some:) Usually Home Depot or Lowe's will not do precision cuts and when they do, they are not very accurate.

Jut got the tracking number for the Treo. It's shipping weight is 62 pounds. Sounds like it might be a CSX to me

No birthsheets with them. I will do some testing when I get them in. I have heard all kinds of stuff about them from 1400 RMS to 2800 RMS. Pretty big range there. The manual states the RMS is at 2000 RMS which I believe should be fairly accurate. As for alt. I have a few prices on alts ranging from 180-200 amps. Not enough, but better than the 80 I have now:)
