Yah, ive seen you mention the X's a couple times then the Quentin specials on here. What gives? This ain't no buffet, get your stuff and work son! Too much time before purchasing at the moment to commit to anything. The Sundown Xs or Z's, DSS Ethos, SSA Zcons or Xcons, & a few others have been tossed around. I can't decide an overall budget that would include electrical upgrades. I signed up for voluntary extended hours overtime this next quarter to start stacking $$. Once my goals for Christmas are taken care of, all funds will go toward this coming build.

I will be waiting till tax time most likely Terric. Kind of hoping Jacob may have an 18" version of the new basket. Last I heard though, it was not going to happen. I wasn't necessarily worried about vids, just experience with power handling & overall sound above 40hz.

Awesome explanation Jacob! I didn't make this thread to bash or discredit the subs, just wanted some personal experiences. I have seen that the vehicle peak freq has dropped when utilizing the X's as well. I know it is not meant to be used as a comp spl sub, which suites me since I prefer to demo. My current plan is 4-18's in 20-24cu net on 2 3.5kv.2's. I am debating on tuning at the moment. I like decaf & modded music but want ability to play rock/metal as well. So far I've seen people tune as high as 35-36hz & still be able to drop in the low 20hz range without issue.

What kind of power are you thiking and you can always have team price on my subs !! Cause you know team IAK FTW !!! Most likely 6-10k on 4-18's

Out of curiosity Quentin, do you think an 18" version will be available around tax time this coming year? I am considering 4 18's on approx 7k in a standard ported enclosure for a daily groundpounder. I'm not a #'s chaser, just love doing demos & the lows. Looking foward to hearing the 15's in Sean's Scion once it's completed

Mike has been out of the hospital for a few days now & is at home recovering from injuries........4 broken ribs, cracked sternum, several bumps n bruises to go with all the other aches & pains He made the show this past weekend but couldn't compete.
