  9. 1. calculate cone area rather than number of subs (it takes 3 8's to make a 15!) or have some sort of trade off chart. [im a big believer of the install makes a system, not size of sub...] 2. specify whether number of amplifiers counts non-subwoofer amps, etc. [im still working on that, but only the sub amp counts and the others have to be off or unpluged...] 3. specify that boxes have to be in a certain position (ie, behind the back seats for cars, behind the door jamb for trucks) [again im working on that too...] 4. will you offer clinics? [what do you mean, if you mean help people yes i will have one...] 5. how will disputed scores and such be handled? [ill have the final say, im sure they will be people not playing fare but hopefully i can weed them out quick...] thanks for your reply jamie
  10. i will comment on the IDMAX, the good and the bad... first off this is not a bashing on ID just what i have saw and hands on. ive always loved ID subs there the type of company that just make good stuff. so here we go.... ive installed a few idmax over the years and all of them sounded awesome and slam. BUT all of them died so i started getting worryed and talking to other installers. were i bought the subs i talked to the head installer and he told me ALL of the idmax they sold died. (so they stop selling ID after 12 years ) then i went to another store that sold ID in my area, and the told me the same thing. (and they stoped selling them too) one of the installers told me it had to do with the voice coil rubbing the sides. he had one that he took apart and i got to see it for myself and sure thing it was bint were the coil goes. now this is what i know from hands on...... remember im not bashing jamie

LOL. i hope this grows and im able to get people to help out so we can have bigger prices and bigger events. they will be prices to win also like amps, subs, box ect ect.... THIS IS THE CLASS'S STOCK 1-2 subs/1-amp/1200w@1ohm 3-4 subs/2-amps/2400w@1ohm 5-up subs/3-amps/3000w@1ohm all stock pannels has to still be in car 1-battery/1-cap meter has to be on windsheild can't rev moter no wall SUPER MOD 1-2 subs/2-amps/unlimited 3-4 subs/4-amps/unlimited 5-up subs/6-amps/unlimited unlimited batterys and caps meter has to be on windsheld 2000rpm rev limit yes wall EXTREME MOD 1-2 subs/unlimited amps/power 3-4 subs/unlimited amps/power 5-up subs/unlimited amp/power unlimited btterys and caps meter can be anywere in front of the B-piller unlimited rev yes wall $10.00 to enter and $5.00 every run after raffles will be $20.00 and will be a monthly thing (so $20.00 for a $200.00-$300.00 amp not bad) only the 1st place winner will get a trophy, just until we get bigger. this is just a few rule i came up with, if anybody can point something out that i might have miss please feel free to do so. i am new at this and need advice on anything you can offer. ill post more when i can get more info..... thanks jamie
