anybody have any experience with this amp? i'm thinking about getting one off of ebay to power my 6.5"s and tweeters. all comments about it are welcome, good or bad. recomendations are welcome too!

no info on the two being compared i've heard great reviews on both woofers, and i have an amp that will go well with either one (memphis prd1000.1) the reason i ask is because nobody around here has ever heard of either company. only audio place around here will tell anybody that everything is garbage except jl and memphis. my overall goal: to have a daily driver that can get loud if desired lol. i mix my music up a lot, so i'm wanting a more musical sub out of the two.

sorry for the lack of wisdom, but could somebody tell me what port noise sounds like? Because I just put my system in my car and unless i have the volume turned down to zero, my sub is constantly playing kinda loudly. Could this be how the amp settings are set?

Thanks for the replies. It is Dual 2, and I wired everything correctly to get the 1 Ohm load. When I wired everything up, I turned all the gains and such down, then turned on my car and as soon as I started to turn up gain, it would click and turn on the protection. When I get home from work I will mess around with it more and check all the wiring a couple more times.

Heres the scoop: I went to put my sub and amp in my car, and was having a hard time getting the box to fit, so I thought I better check everything out to make sure it worked, and the amp keeps going into a protection mode or something. Its a Memphis PR1000.1 I tried to contact the seller because he guaranteed not to be DOA but won't get a return. I guess thats what I get for buying off of ebay But anyways, I was wondering if people could give me some input on which would be a better amp for my Fi Q in a LSQ installation. Kicker ZX1000.1 Sundown SAE-1000D I can get them for about the same price. Any help? Thanks.

Heres my info.. 2002 Monte Carlo SS Panasonic CQ-C8413U MXE Stock Speakers for now with a 200 watt amp that came stock, not quite sure what I will get. I usually use Infinity Kappa's 15" Fi Q Dual 2 Memphis PR1.1000

At first, its going to be half rock and half rap, but my main source of music is rock. That being said, I should put the Fi in a sealed enclosure?
