  1. Thats true, but holy good god you'd kill someone by the time it's done. Those cars are not fun to take anything apart on. Could you just install post the amp? a 3sixty or something? Yeah absolutely, after the factory amp then wire aftermarket power to the factory wiring unless it's anything like Blose. A lot of Bose systems use individual amps at each speaker which is retarded, but I would guess German engineered cars would make more sense than that. One of the installers I work with was telling me that some of the new Mercedes cars are run almost entirely on a fiber optic loop. Remove on component and the car fails to work as a whole. The completely eliminate remote starters and aftermarket head units as of now.

  3. You have some good potential with all mentioned above. Now just put the extra time and effort and do a great install. Maybe add some deadening material to your budget and do the doors. Deadening was without a doubt one of the best improvements I have made to my car sound system.
  4. The one with the extra HP button?? I really dislike BMW interior, but it's a fast fast car aparently. Consistantly rated as a faster and better handling, but less "fun" to drive car than the E55(supercharged). It depends. The one with the aluminum crap all over isn't so nice, but some packages look real nice. It is the exterior that gets me. I like the interiors on the newer BMWs. Haven't sat in any Mercedes Lately however. Nice car, but if you want to do any aftermarket stereo, have fun. A lot of the audio systems in BMW, Mercedes, and Audi now are all done by fiber optic.
  5. work 3 jobs around school. Finished a degree in electronics technology, and now am taking a few classes in nanoscience to buy time to find the right job. Besides school, I install at a local shop, deliver pizzas on the weekend and am a work study at the school. The work study job is great. Clean classrooms, but in the summer I just mow lawns, my favorite job ever.
  6. I wouldn't say number one, but up there for sure. Alba number one!
  7. This no smoking thing is doing a number on me, I've had the quitters cough for the last week or two. I guess I have cough up all the shit I've put into my lungs now
  8. I couldn't have enjoyed that game more!
  9. I hear ya there. I have too many here at home and I am throwing them away all the time at work.
  10. Vikings up at halftime!
  11. Anyone know of a good program to copy DVDs with? I want to burn copies of the Trailer Park Boys DVDs.
  12. Cowboy Sandwich Top
  13. Stuffed from the sandwich I had earlier. Chicken Breast, bacon, and cheddar cheese on focaccia bread with BBQ, ranch, and buffalo sauce mixed together. There isn't a sauce that tastes that good!
  14. The Phoenix Gold Xenon amps did the same as the slash series amp, just lacked in quality when compared to JL
  15. X2, ditch the rears and put more money elsewhere. I'd concentrate on the front stage personally though.
  16. I never used the functions with the add on imprint alpine unit. I messed with all that stuff on a 9887 and it was cool, but I am under the impression that I personally rather own something with more funtionality like a rockford 360.2
  17. Nevermind it's fixed now. I must have accidentally changed the tap to click setting on my taskbar.
  18. When I tap on the mouse pad, it's supposed to click what I have the cursor over, but it doesn't do that anymore. Is this a setting that may have gotten changed by accident, or is my mouse pad fucked up? IT's bugging me real bad.
  19. Kickers have no room for error. Now a punter, with my life time of soccer, I could do. How about a long snapper? You'd play just as much as the punters and cannot be liable for almost anything except snapping the ball.
  20. Graphic Eqs let you adjust pre selected frequencies plus or minus. A Parametric eq lets you choose the frequency at with you wish to cut or gain and you can choose the Q value or width that you'd like to cut or gain. I've installed imprint on a Customers vehicle and calibrated it and what not. It's cool how it works. Supposed to bring the soundstage up in front of you and it does that. It seems to lack in the bass however, but you can go and make changes to the multi-eq.
  21. The JL fan boy is here! Sundown Audio makes a great product and so does JL audio. Sundown and Jl Audio both have top notch customer service (I've dealt with JL and seen how Jacob does work here). Sundown is much more economical with prices. Simple as that. But that'ts not to say that JL is overpriced either. If you're talking about dollar per watt, amps like Audison, Helix, McIntosh, and Zapcos can cost much more than JL amps.
  22. That's a hell of a deal, especially for 2 years ago! The 54 will be a little more. The more and more I've been thinking, the more sense it makes to go with the 54s1. And to seal the deal, I already found someone to buy my old rear projection!
  23. TOP!
  24. what I have heard is many problems with the samsungs. Bah. Everyone I know has Samsungs and we all love them. I never see them in for repair at work, nor do I see any Panasonics. Mostly see LG, Sony, Vizio, and the cheap brands. We have LG, Sony, and Samsungs, and I'd have to say I'm most happy with the LGs and Sonys. Though, i do have to say the samsungs were bought first so they may just not have as much technology in them The biggest selling point on the samsung for me is the RGB input. I watch some TVs on my laptop, and wouldn't mind watching it on a bigger screen.
